One other X user referenced the Daniel Penny case while :

"Notice Kansas City doesn’t charge these men for protecting others the way @ManhattanDA went after Daniel Penny because he was white."

Who is the Kansas City man facing numerous charges regarding the incident?

As reported by The Kansas City Star, the man, identified as 37-year-old Rustam Huseinov, is facing multiple charges, including making a terrorist threat, harassment, assault, property damage, trespassing, and numerous counts of armed criminal activity.

According to the Kansas City Star, bar staff said that Huseinov had been a regular at the establishment for roughly a week. Legal records indicate that he resides in an apartment complex situated near Ward Parkway.

The outlet also reported that he had been banned from the bar earlier that evening due to disruptive behavior, only to return later with a weapon.

In an email to The Kansas City Star, the car staff said:

“Fortunately, through their heroic actions there were no injuries during this incident. Moving forward, we will add additional security and off duty police officers to reinforce that the safety of our patrons and employees is our top priority.”

As Huseinov attempted to stab and threaten staff, part of the bar crowd which included 75 people, responded swiftly, using bar furniture to restrain him until police arrived. Huseinov now faces multiple criminal charges, including assault and terrorist threats. Remarkably, no one was seriously injured, with the bar staff crediting their collective action for preventing a worse outcome.
