On February 6, 2025, a passenger onboard a Frontier Airlines flight was accused of cracking a window in midair. The person allegedly punched and kicked the window until it broke.
As seen in the viral videos of the incident, passengers assisted in holding down the man. It seemed like a struggle as they tied his hands and buckled him to a seat on the Frontier Airlines flight from Denver to Houston.
Tanner Phillips, a passenger, speaking to ABC News, said:
“He was screaming in multiple languages and punching out the window and like laying back and trying to kick it out. It took a couple of guys to get his arms behind him and secure.”
Social media users appeared shocked at the incident with many raising questions about passengers’ safety. One X user recommended:
“We need air marshals back on all flights.”

“These guys need medals of freedom for keeping our skies safe,” an internet user noted.
The Frontier Airlines flight was reportedly in the air for 20 minutes when the incident happened
Videos of the incident showed that the window, which the man tried to break, had blood stains. The incident happened 20 minutes after the flight went up in the air. He started punching the seat in front of him after the woman sitting there asked to move seats. Frontier Airlines did not pursue any legal action against the man.
Another passenger, Victoria Clark, who witnessed the incident, said she started freaking out after the man started behaving that way. Speaking to KHOU 11, she said:
“The flight attendants, they just disappeared. They went to go ask for help but I didn’t know where they went at the time, and it seemed liked everybody in his row and in the row in front of them kind of moved away and so it’s just me and this man and I start freaking out. I am having a panic attack.”
Clark said she screamed for help because she was scared. Then, her fiancé and a few other passengers on the Frontier Airlines flight took over the man. They tied his hands with shoelaces and flex cuffs.
The flight then covered a remaining journey of an hour and a half and after landing at Bush Intercontinental Airport, the police took him into custody. The authorities did not reveal his identity. According to social media reports, the damage to the plane did not threaten the flight’s safety.
