American rapper Farran Harrison, aka 10Cellphones, was recently arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in public. Harrison's video of using a flamethrower has gone viral as he walked on the streets using the dangerous weapon. Following his arrest, his fans are seemingly coming together to raise a massive amount for his release.
On December 22, 2024, Harrison shared a video of him using a flamethrower on the streets on his social media. While the video garnered millions of views, it also got the rapper behind the bars. In the clip, he could be seen filling the weapon with fuel and later using it on the road.
While many netizens criticized his actions, his fans supported him. An X (formerly Twitter) user penned,
"Great idea doing this in an intersection where cars can have gas, oil and other fluids leaking. Don't worry, you'll find out the hard way some day."
Another asked,
"Why would you play with this thing on a public street?"
Now, 10Cellphones is facing multiple charges and being held on bond of $1 million. He is facing one count of carrying a concealed weapon, one count of resisting a public officer, and three counts of possessing a weapon mass destruct.
Why are 10Cellphones' fans raising funds?
10Cellphones' fans have begun a GoFundMe page to raise funds for his release. They are seeking $120,000 for their idol. Setting up the fundraiser, his fans penned,
"Dear Friends, We are reaching out to ask for your support for Farran Harrison / 10 Cellphones, who is currently being held on an outrageous $1 million bond for allegedly violating gun laws that we believe are unconstitutional."
They confirmed that the funds raised will be used for the rapper's legal fees against the charges he is facing. They are aiming to advocate for justice and the rapper's constitutional rights and bring him back home.
"Let’s come together to support him and uphold the rights we all cherish. If 20,000 of us could donate $5 we'll be able to reach the goal and get him home! Thank you for standing with us," the note on GoFundMe page further read.
This is not the first time 10Cellphones has been arrested for possessing firearms. Last year, in November, the rapper was arrested for alleged gun charges and domestic violence. The court documents revealed that he tried to flee the police officers on foot but they soon arrested him.
The same year, Harrison was arrested for allegedly possessing two grenades, 20 pounds of marijuana, and ammo in his apartment.
