Although Joe Biden stepped down from the presidential race, his fan-following has been rich. On November 19, 2024, X user Chris D. Jackson shared a post on his social media platform in which he wrote that an elderly woman named Theresa became heartbroken a few months ago after the Democratic candidate declared he would not run for the next US President.
However, months later, her family shared a video of her receiving a call from the former president. In the video posted by Jackson, we see that Theresa receives a call from someone named Julia from the White House who tells her that there is someone who wants to speak to her. Biden then starts talking and says he would have hugged Theresa had she been in front of him. He also said,
“I just watched what you said and it makes me emotional. God love you. Means so much to me what you said. I am sitting here in the Oval Office behind the Resolute desk and all I can think of is you are the reason, you are the reason I got a public life.”
Biden then expressed his heartfelt gratitude, emphasizing the importance of giving everyone a fair chance. He invited her to come and see him, sharing his hope to meet before his term ends, as he thought it would be a meaningful opportunity to connect. Theresa became emotional at his words and she responded,
“I would love to meet you too Mr. President. In fact, I will be 90 in a couple of months and this is the most honored moment of my entire life.”
The former President then jokingly added that Theresa did not look 90 to him as he satirically suggested that both of them would be above 40.

Biden then asked her if she would like to visit him with her family if he made the necessary arrangements to which Theresa replied that she would love to. The former president would like her to meet his family and Thersa appreciated the idea. He then asked her not to forget the promise and Theresa responded,
“I promise you. You are the best President in my entire life.”
Biden also said,
“I appreciate it more than you can imagine, more than you could imagine.”
Theresa relentlessly thanked him for everything he had done for the citizens including protecting their social security and medicare. She said people felt safe when he was there in the White House.
Biden appreciated her thoughts saying he had six more months and a good successor would take over after him. As the clip came towards the end, Theresa thanked him saying ‘we understood the assignment.’
