It has been a week since Hannah Kobayashi's family has been trying to find her. While a rigorous search for Hannah is currently going on, her family has claimed they have found new footage of her. She was last seen on November 11.
According to KTLA, Kobayashi's family has revealed new information about her last whereabouts. On Monday, the family confirmed that their daughter was spotted in downtown Los Angeles near the Pico Metro Station on November 11.
While the footage is kept under wraps, the family revealed that Kobayashi was with someone and did not look well at that time. Hannah's aunt Larie Pidgeon told the news outlet,
"She is not safe, and she is not alone."
Pidgeon further shared some disturbing details about her niece's search and revealed that it has not been easy. She claimed that someone tried to "steal my husband’s phone from his hand." Pidgeon further added that the people were "screaming, and there were people smoking crack."
Hannah Kobayashi's father Ryan also mentioned how he misses his daughter. He said that he "just want her to know that, and just want her to reach out – anything."
What happened to Hannah Kobayashi?
Hannah Kobayashi flew to Los Angeles from Maui on November 8. Surveillance footage confirmed that she landed in the US, however, she missed her night flight to New York's JFK airport. She was supposed to land in the Empire State the next day.
Hannah allegedly decided to attend a LeBron James event in LA. When she returned to LAX, she exchanged a few messages with her family which the latter found alarming.
Pidgeon said that Hannah texted her about feeling sad.
"She mentioned feeling scared, and that someone might be trying to steal her money and identity."
"Strange, cryptic messages – things about the matrix, it was so unlike her. And then all of a sudden, no more communication," she added.
Hannah Kobayashi had allegedly planned to do a few activities off her bucket list. She was also supposed to meet her aunt Geodran Montalvo. One of her texts to Pidgon also mentioned that Hannah was charging her phone before heading back to NYC. The text also mentioned that she might need some help to get there.
Her sister Sydni told Hawaii News Now that she also received "really weird" texts from her sister's phone.
"It’s weird to me because it doesn’t sound like her, like there’s just something off about it," Sydni added.
Hannah Kobayashi's family members traveled to Los Angeles in search of her. They have also set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds to help them continue looking for Hannah.
Kobayashi is 31. She is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. She has brown eyes and hair and fair skin with freckles.
