According to The Independent, beginning in December, first-class travelers on flights departing from Boston and covering routes over 900 miles will be able to enjoy the hearty burger as part of their in-flight meal.
In a press release titled 'Now boarding: Delta to serve Shake Shack burgers on flight,' Delta announced the partnership with Shake Shack and said that the collaboration aims to bring a premium dining experience to in-flight meals, with customizable burgers featuring high-quality ingredients and sides.
The press release also mentions that Delta customers in first class on routes over 900 miles can pre-select this meal option using the Fly Delta app. Michael Kark, President of Global Licensing at Shake Shack said:
"Taking our beloved cheeseburger to new heights, Shake Shack is proud to partner with Delta as we elevate the in-flight dining and hospitality experience for travelers across the country.”
Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Service at Delta also commented on the partnership by emphasizing:
