A fatal accident recently took place at Niagara Falls as a 33-year-old woman and her two children died after a nearly 200-foot drop. What has shocked everyone is that the two young kids who died in the accident also included a 5-month-old baby. The deceased woman has been recognized as Chianti Means, according to New York State Police.
The police alleged that Means was at Luna Island with her two kids when she stepped over the guardrail on Monday night (October 28, 2024). Officers responded with investigators at around 9 p.m. While the investigation is underway, officials are trying to determine if the deadly fall from the island was "intentional."

As of Wednesday (October 30, 2024), rescuers have not found the bodies of the three.
For the unversed, Luna Island is a popular spot to witness the magnificent Niagara Falls. The spot is open for visitors seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
Netizens react to Chianti Means' death after falling in Niagara Falls
According to her LinkedIn profile, Means did her graduation near Buffalo. She allegedly worked as a domestic violence counselor. Means' friends have been mourning her untimely death on social media. Several netizens have also shared their concerns about the Niagara Falls accident.
Mich Molina, a friend of Means', penned a heartwarming note on Facebook and talked about mental health. She wrote:
"I really hope our loved ones can hear us talking to them. Sharing our day with them. And telling them how much we love and miss them. My big brother passed in 2018, my mom from cancer in 2020, now my sweetest beautiful friend and her beautiful babies. I can’t handle this much heartache. We were introduced 7 years ago by my niece Ari Ashia we have been friends ever since. I love you Chianti Means my Diamond Scott. Halloween won’t be the same without you."
Another one named Niesha Eukeya wrote:
"You really never know what anybody is going through…. Rip to Niyah’s aunt Chianti Means Diamond Scott and her little cousins."
A Facebook user mourned the death of Means and her two kids.
"I'm praying for the souls of this young 33 year old mother, Chianti Means, her 9 year old son, and 5 month old baby. Authorities continue to search for their bodies after they crossed over the guard rails and leaped into Niagara Falls."
The user further alleged that she wondered what Means could have told her elder son before to leap first after she "followed holding her 5-month-old baby." Netizens are finding the incident as "disheartening."
