According to Lawyer Monthly, over 1000 deaths were reported in 2023 in the construction industry, alone, based on data from the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Per the agency, the rate of fatality was 9.6 for every 100,000 full-time workers. Per the outlet, the data matched that of the year before that, showing no improvement.

The outlet states that in such accidents, workers can rely on workers’ compensation to ease their financial strains as they recuperate from their injuries, and it is advisable to consult a personal injury lawyer to understand your rights better. Said lawyers also improve the chances of securing a better deal with workers’ compensation.
