A woman and three children lost their lives in a violent car crash in Miami Gardens, caused by a man who was driving while inebriated.

According to 7News, a memorial was installed at the scene of the wreckage, which took place on Saturday, at Northwest 37th Avenue, near 170th Street in Miami Gardens. By Sunday, tributes began to grow, with the news outlet capturing stuffed animals and candles on the sidewalk. The freak accident took place at around 6 p.m. and was caught on surveillance cameras.

Here's everything we know about the tragic freak accident at Miami Gardens:

According to Local 10, the children have since been identified as 9-year-old Azaria McCall, 10-year-old Kamari Graham, and 11-year-old Ireanna Johnson, while the woman was their grandmother, Rosa Jones. She was in her 50s. At the time, Kamari was celebrating his birthday.

“I have to deal with this for the rest of my life,” said Ronald McCall, their father.

Miami Gardens Police Executive Officer Emmanuel Jeanty confirmed that “Speed was a factor, alcohol was also a factor." McCall revealed that the children's mother and a 7-year-old boy had sustained injuries in the crash and were still in the hospital as of Monday afternoon.

“Their mom is doing better now. She is off the machines and everything, breathing on her own,” McCall said. “It’s going to be a hard thing when she gets back knowing that her kids are dead.”

Nunez, a Miami Gardens resident and one of several people who ran over to help the six people stuck in the white Nissan Altima, told 7News:

"Terrible, it was terrible. The first instinct was to help the people in the car,” said Nunez. “I knocked on the door, but the door, it was locked.”

Per the outlet, surveillance footage shows a black SUV ramming into the rear end of the Altima, which then collided with a silver Cadillac Escalade that was ahead of them.

Miami Police have reportedly affirmed that the driver, 25-year-old Antonio Wilcox Jr., will be facing five counts of vehicular homicide.

"Everybody is sad, we're sad," aunt Susie Williams said. "They was wonderful kids…I'm really gonna miss them, I'm gonna miss my babies."

She revealed that at the time, the family was on their way to watch a movie, per NBC Miami.

"At the end of the day, I just want them to get him, and do what they got to do. My family's gone so they can't replace them back," she said. "So at the end of the day I need y'all prayers."

Speaking to NBC Miami, McCall revealed that the day he lost his children, he had come back home from jail for DUI himself.

"Don't drink and drive...I get out and actually lose my babies to drinking and driving,"

he said.

"They'll never be back again. I'm left with only two. It's hard."
