On Monday, February 3, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) issued an Amber Alert in Lee County. The alert was in response to the suspected kidnapping of a 2-year-old named Camila Guzman in Lee County’s Fort Myers.
Fortunately, the Fort Myers Police Department was able to locate Guzman, while the suspected captor, Luis Valentin, remains untraceable. The police detectives are still investigating the case, but the cancellation of the Amber Alert has relieved many in the community.
As soon as the Fort Myers Police Department shared the update about the 2-year-old being safely located, many on Facebook shared their reactions to the positive news. A user (Jacqueline Colon Ramirez) wrote,

The community takes a sigh of relief as police locate the 2-year-old amidst a Lee County Amber Alert
After the authorities found the child in Lee County’s Fort Myers, almost every reaction from the community voiced an identical emotion. Some thanked the god for keeping the child safe, while others were grateful to the Fort Myers Police Department.
“Thank god she is found and she is safe now,” Elizabeth Rmz commented.

The AMBER Alert for Camila Guzman was raised on February 3
The Fort Myers Police Department updated the community with an Amber Alert around 4:00 pm on Monday, February 3. In its social media post, the police department confirmed the suspected abduction of Camila Guzman by 24-year-old Luis Valentin. According to the authorities,
“Valentin was last seen wearing gray shorts with an unknown colored shirt and possibly wearing slides. Valentin has a brown fade haircut, brown goatee, a lion tattoo on one side of his throat and Princess tattooed on the other.”
The child and her suspected kidnapper went missing on Monday from Fort Myers’ 4600 block of Deleon Street. Police also confirmed that Guzman was last seen with Valentin near the 500 block of SE 5th Avenue in Cape Coral.
