Donald Trump is succeeding Joe Biden as the 47th President after the former’s second inauguration ceremony on MLK Day.

Hours before the ceremony, Biden was filmed arriving in Washington DC from South Carolina. Joe Biden exited from Air Force One, which must be noted would be his last walk out of the presidential plane as the officer-bearer. Trump will take charge of the office soon after taking oath on January 20, 2025.

For the uninitiated, Trump had also boarded Air Force One, which President Biden sent. Trump was accompanied by his wife, Melania, and son, Baron, as they disembarked in Washington ahead of the inaugural ceremony. According to Reuters, the President-elect's private navy and crimson "Trump Force One" was also at Palm Beach International Airport alongside Air Force One.

While Trump traveled in the US Military plane, his other son, Eric, boarded the private plane with his wife, Lara. The outlet also reported that Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, were spotted while leaving for Washington DC on January 19.

"One more selfie for the road. We love you, America."

In a separate post, the 46th President is seen posing with his wife, Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff. In the caption, the president addressed the "American people" as he wrote,

"It has been the honor of our lifetimes to serve you, the American people."

For the unversed, Biden was initially competing against Trump for his second term. However, he withdrew from the race mid-campaign for the "best interest" of his "party and the country." Harris was announced as his replacement, but she lost to Trump, who will soon take oath for his second non-consecutive term.
