"A very strong, widespread, and destructive north to northeast windstorm will bring extremely critical fire weather conditions to many areas of Los Angeles and eastern Ventura counties into early Wednesday afternoon."
"Areas in a red flag warning will have increased risk for large fires with very rapid fire spread, extreme fire behavior, and long-range spotting," the report added.
Community members were requested to evacuate the danger-prone areas. The residents of The Terraces at Park Marino, which is a senior living center near the Park Marino area in Pasadena, were taken outside in wheelchairs by Pasadena Fire Department crews. They also used armored vehicles to safely carry out the evacuation.
