Swiss socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein died on December 31, 2024. Her fiancé and fashion designer Lloyd Klein told People Magazine in an exclusive interview that that she died in her sleep. Wildenstein was well-known for her cosmetic surgeries that gave a cat-like appearance to her face which made people call her the ‘Catwoman.’

Jocelyn Wildenstein was married to businessman and art dealer Alec Nathan Wildenstein but they separated in 1999. She started dating Klein in 2003 and the two got engaged in 2017. She was not married to Klein at the time of her death.

While speaking to the magazine outlet, Lloyd Klein recalled preparing for the New Year's celebration and taking a nap beforehand. When he woke up, he found Wildenstein cold and motionless. He added that Wildenstein had phlebitis which is a medical condition where a vein, mostly in the legs, gets inflamed.

This resulted in her legs getting swollen indicating that blood clots had restricted circulation. Klein said:

“It's extremely sad to lay down with your other half that I know for 21 years and waiting to celebrate New Year's Eve and to find her cold.”

Born in Montreal and raised in Paris, Lloyd Klein's career began in 1994 as a head designer at Maison Madame Grès. He later launched his brand in 1998 and opened his first retail store in Los Angeles in 2006.

During a 2023 interview with Interview Magazine, Klein addressed Jocelyn Wildenstein’s cosmetic surgeries. He stated that although she was known for her plastic surgery, her true legacy included remarkable accomplishments and achievements that deserved recognition.

While speaking to People Magazine, Lloyd Klein reflected on their holiday together, saying it was a beautiful experience. He mentioned that the condition Jocelyn Wildenstein suffered from was something that her grandmother also had.

However, Wildenstein was doing fine during their holiday and her health had been excellent. He recalled their recent outings, including dinner at the Ritz and attending Chanel's Fashion Week, describing everything as going well. He added:

“We were at the Ritz. We were having parties. She was in great shape. She was in impeccable health.”

Lloyd Klein invited Jocelyn Wildenstein in 2003 at the New York Fashion Week where she explored the designer's creations. This interaction sparked a connection over shared interests and their mutual French background.

They bonded over dinners, events, and their appreciation for high fashion. Reflecting on her plastic surgery in 2016, he explained that her distinctive features were natural and present from a young age, enhanced by some cosmetic procedures over time. Despite public perceptions, he emphasized her elegance, impeccable taste, and genuine connection to the world of high fashion.

As per News24, Lloyd Klein mentioned that he was unaware of any procedures Jocelyn Wildenstein might have undergone during their time together. While acknowledging some alterations, he clarified that he did not see her in the same light as others. For him, beauty is subjective, and he wasn't shocked by her changes.
