Ally Lewber has spoken out for the first time since her boyfriend James Kennedy’s arrest on suspicion of domestic violence on Sunday. Ally addressed the circulating rumors and concern for her well-being on her Instagram Stories.

The 28-year-old wrote after the alleged incident. “I’m OK and taking the time I need right now. I simply ask for your kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.”

Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy was arrested on December 10 in Burbank, California after he allegedly threw a woman to the ground during a dispute. TMZ reported that although police records have not identified the woman, the incident occurred after Kennedy and Lewber attended Kathy Hilton’s annual holiday party.

Kennedy was arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery and later, released on a $20,000 bail. His lawyers have stated that there were “no injuries” and that they hope the city attorney does not file formal charges (TMZ).

James Kennedy and Ally Lewber: A Relationship Under Scrutiny

As Kennedy’s legal team scrambles to minimize the damage caused by his arrest, Lewber’s response to her fans indicates she is prioritizing her health and taking time to process.

The incident has brought all the attention to James Kennedy and Ally Lewber’s romance, which reportedly started at the beginning of 2022, per Us Weekly.

Often seen displaying their affection on social media and on the sets of Vanderpump Rules, the couple always seemed to be happy together. Despite Kennedy’s controversial past, Lewber had frequently defended their relationship.

Rumors of a physical altercation between the couple circulated earlier this year. Ally Lewber denied any allegations of abuse in the Scheananigans podcast. “For the record, James has never hit me or assaulted me,” she said.

Despite Ally Lewber's reassurance, Kennedy’s toxic behavior has been well-documented, both on-screen and in real life. The reality star has previously faced issues related to substance abuse and high temper, as reported by Bravo TV.

On the other hand, Kennedy’s ex-girlfriend Kristen Doute, has publicly reacted to his recent arrest by posting a sarcastic “FINALLY” on her Instagram Story.

Meanwhile, in the wake of these recent developments, it looks like Lewber has decided to divert her energy elsewhere and is focusing on keeping the matter private. Days after Kennedy’s arrest, Lewber was spotted attending a fashion event in Los Angeles, alone, and also smiled for the cameras.
