Questions of faith and fate have baffled human civilization, but for televangelist Kenneth Copeland, that's not the case. The 88-year-old pastor, while speaking at a congregation at Eagle Mountain International Church, said he would live until December 6, 2056. He said:
“I have made an inner covenant with God and on December the 6th 2056, I will see you all later. I am out of here, a 120 years old.”
The video was shared on Kenneth Copeland Ministries's YouTube channel on December 1, 2024. However, the internet stood divided as some accused him of preaching blasphemy while others agreed and supported him. One X user commented:
“he is a false prophet.”
Social media users criticized him, saying if what he said was true, he would become wealthier.
“If I walked around saying that, what do you think would happen to me?” a person asked on X.
“Hey @NinjaJedi1 & @DaronKnol, if this is true, he will probably buy a few more million dollar jets!” a netizen reacted.
“Kenneth needs to be exposed,” a social media user opined.
“He’s an evil guy man. You can see it in his eyes,” an online user mentioned.
On the other hand, netizens appeared to support Kenneth Copeland. While some opined he had solid teaching, others hoped God would continue communicating with him.
“The guy has solid teaching. I have read numerous books of his and listened to him extensively. Just about everything people bad mouthing him say is either not true or it is based upon their own preferences, not because he is wrong,” another X user opined.
“What is blasphemous about this? God speaks to people,in the bible times and also now and many people have got personal promises from the Lord,” an online user argued.
“Only time will tell, hopefully God will continue to speak to him and he will obey,” another person pointed out.
Kenneth Copeland said 2025 would be a more stable year compared to the previous two
During his speech, Kenneth Copeland said he was hospitalized for 10 days for surgery after his appendix ruptured, but he was doing well. He described 2024 as a challenging year, including an unexpected and prolonged hospital stay.
He resorted to maintaining a positive attitude and upholding his humor throughout his medical ordeal, as he thought this would help in preventing depression and sustaining his faith. Kenneth Copeland expressed unwavering confidence in the successful outcome of his surgery, attributing it to divine intervention.
As the speech continued, Kenneth Copeland shared his practice of praying and planning for the future, outlining his vision for the years ahead till 2029. He predicted a more stable 2025 compared to the previous two years while anticipating significant opposition from the Democratic Party, motivated by self-interest rather than the nation's well-being.
The pastor also encouraged his congregation to look at 2025 with optimism and unwavering faith, emphasizing the continued importance of vigilance and engagement, particularly in the upcoming midterm elections.
Kenneth Copeland stressed that achieving victory should not lead to complacency, urging individuals to actively participate in shaping their lives and the future. He encouraged proactive planning and spiritual growth while stressing the importance of self-reflection. He said all must align themselves with the right community and purpose and make informed and meaningful decisions.
