Geyserville Accident: Fatal two-vehicle crash leaves one dead and five injured

A deadly accident occurred on Saturday afternoon on the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101 in Geyserville. The accident which has caused a death and left five others injured, has led to the closure of all freeway lanes, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Honda Accord was traveling southbound on U.S. 101 "at an unsafe speed during rainy conditions" when the driver lost control, crossed the median, and collided with a Subaru Outback heading north.

Four young men, aged 19 and 20, were in the Honda. One among them was declared dead at the scene, while the driver and two passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

As for the Subaru they collided with, a male driver and a female passenger in the Subaru were transported to Santa Rosa Memorial with serious but non-fatal injuries. According to the highway patrol, the baby in the back seat of the Subaru appeared to be unharmed.

Northbound US-101 is closed for a fatal crash south of Canyon Road. Traffic is being diverted off at Geyserville Ave and can re-enter northbound US-101 at Canyon Road. Expect delays.
