The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a fatal shooting. According to reports, a 36-year-old man named Aaron Spencer had called deputies to inform them about his missing 14-year-old daughter.

While the deputies were en route to the home on Highway 236 East, they received another call from Aaron Spencer (the missing girl's father) at about 1:12 a.m. on October 8 informing them that he had found his daughter inside the vehicle of a man, later identified as Michael Fosler.

A confrontation between Aaron Spencer and Michael Fosler escalated, resulting in Fosler being fatally shot by Spencer at the scene. Lonoke County Sheriff's Office arrested Spencer and charged him with first-degree murder, a Class Y felony.

He is being held in custody at the Lonoke County Detention Center. Authorities have not yet clarified any prior relationship between the family and Fosler, but they did confirm that the missing teen is safe.

Heather Spencer, the wife of the now-arrested Aaron Spencer had set up a GoFundMe account to help them with legal expenses. This account was later deleted. However, she said that GoFundMe would refund whatever amount they were able to raise. She went on her Facebook to post:

"First, just want to thank the community and all the victims who have reached out to us. We have gotten a clear picture of a predator who continuously worked with children and preyed on young girls. This man was Chief of police in Indiana and resource officer, giving us a better idea of why the Lonoke county courts have been protecting him and going after my husband. Gofundme is down for good, but I am working to get a new platform started. Venmo and cashapp are working sometimes but a lot of donations are being rejected. We are going to hold off on sharing a new post until we have a new platform to host donations. We will also be opening up an account tomorrow at a local bank. Thank you all for continued support."
