Jordan Sierra Bowen, a native Houstonian who was once a paid organizer for the Harris County Democratic Party, has become the recipient of online backlash after she was misidentified as the woman seen in a viral video screaming at a toddler at Kamala Harris rally.
It all began after a viral video showing a young woman screaming at a toddler emerged online. The video posted by political commentator Collin Rugg alleged that a “Liberal woman” started screaming at a baby, prompting a Kamala Harris supporter to intervene. Rugg said the incident occurred outside the Harris Houston rally on October 25, 2024.

The video showed a young woman screaming and swearing in a toddler’s face following a disagreement between the girl’s father and a group of Kamala Harris supporters. The toddler’s father supposedly said, “Look at you people,” before being greeted by several “boos” from the crowd.
When the child’s father went to unbuckle his daughter from her stroller, a woman dressed in black shorts and a T-shirt approached the child, leaned forward and yelled:
“Your dad’s a b***h.”
The woman was pulled away by a Kamala Harris supporter who appeared to condemn her behavior. The woman continued to yell at the man seen holding his daughter. Shortly after the video went viral online, outraged social media users, including billionaire Elon Musk, criticized the incident, writing:
“Poor kid. That was messed up.”
After the outrage, several online sleuths identified her as Jordan Sierra Bowen, who allegedly worked for the Harris County Democratic party. Social media users questioned her conduct and her affiliation with the Democratic Party. However, according to a Journalist at Current Revolt, the woman in the viral video is not Jordan Sierra Bowen.
The Harris County Democratic Party issue statement after Jordan Sierra Bowen was misidentified in a viral video
In a string of viral posts, former campaign organizer for Harris County Democratic Party Jordan Sierra Bowen was identified as a woman seen in a viral video screaming at a child at Kamala Harris Houston rally. However, Bowen was misidentified. According to Current Revolt journalist Tony Ortiz, the woman in the video is not Bowen. In a post on X, Ortiz wrote:
“Twitter journalists are reporting that the woman in the viral video below is Jordan Sierra Bowen of Harris County. I've confirmed that she is not the woman in the video and they have misidentified her completely.”
In another post, Ortiz added that the Harris County Democratic Party confirmed via text that Bowen was misidentified. He also posted a current picture of Bowen, who appeared much older than the girl seen in the video.
The Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP) also stated that Jordan Sierra Bowen was not the woman seen in the video. They said:
“The person depicted in the video is not or never has been an employee of HCDP or TDP. Any outlet claiming to have identified Thai people as such is spreading misinformation.”
It should be noted that while HCDP did not name Bowen in the statement, they did state that the woman in the video was never employed with the party. Bowen was an employee of HCDP in 2019 and hence cannot be the woman in the viral video. According to an old HCPD Facebook Post, Jordan Sierra Bowen became a member of the team in 2019.
However, despite HCDP denying Bowen was involved in the incident, reports from various outlets, including the Tribune and Times Now News, identified the woman in the viral video as Jordan Sierra Bowen based on social media reports.
