Olivia Julianna, a Houston activist and social media personality, quelled all rumors that she had gone on a hunger strike in protest of USAID being axed. The rumors come on the heels of the influencer going viral for her drastic weight loss.

The abortion rights activist took to social media this week to sarcastically reveal that she had not gone on a hunger strike. Rather, she was "down 50 pounds" as she "couldn't afford to eat in Trump's economy."

In a video on X, she alleged that she was being used as rage bait by the conservatives to gain views. However, in response to the claims that she was on Ozempic and concerns about her weight, she revealed that she was on Ozempic, a drug that helps in shedding pounds. She also claimed that "half of the women in the Republican Party" are on it too.

Everything we know about Olivia Julianna as the influencer says she's still "relevant"

In the video on X, Olivia Julianna can be heard saying:

"The chokehold that I have on conservative influencers is actually f*cking insane. They like to use me for rage bait on Twitter, which is like 'fine, girl, whatever you gotta do to get your badge.' Last night, one of them made a post saying that I was threatening to go on a hunger strike if USAID wasn't restored."

The Democrat went on, noting that she chose to sarcastically blame it on "Trump's economy," before adding that her quippy remark quickly made her go viral.

"Now all these people are making posts, being like 'she's a liar, she's on Ozempic,' and right-wing news outlets are writing articles about my weight loss. Am I on Ozempic? Absolutely. But so are half of the women in the Republican Party and Congress. In politics, attention is capital. Once again, they continue to prove that no matter how much they hate me, I am relevant."

Olivia Julianna is a liberal political activist from Texas. Act Blue Blog states that she was the Director of Politics & Government Affairs at Gen-Z for Change, a non-profit organization that promotes civic engagement among younger Americans with an emphasis on education, labor rights, and abortion rights. However, she reportedly no longer works for them.

Per the website, she is most known for having spearheaded the takedown of a whistleblower website that targeted those in Texas who lent a hand in making access to abortion better, though she also works closely with Democratic campaigns across the country.

Following Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz's public disapproval of her, Olivia Julianna managed to raise over $2 million for abortion funds. She is also heavily active on social media, with a cumulative following of 1 million. Back in 2022, Bloomberg Media added her name to the list of 50 Most Influential People at the time.

Times Now reported that Olivia Julianna studied political science as her major at the University of Houston-Victoria.
