Far-right commentator Candace Owens took a shot at Kamala Harris’ string of celebrity endorsers after Donald Trump scored a significant lead in the 2024 presidential elections, winning key battleground states.

On November 5, 2024, she declared Trump the 47th President of the United States on X, before writing:

“Cry harder, Hollywood.”

The statement was in reference to Harris' campaign earning support from Hollywood elites, including Oscar-winning filmmaker Spike Lee and Grammy-winning musician Stevie Wonder. A-list celebrities such as Will Ferrell, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lopez, and The Avengers cast, including Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, also backed Harris in the months leading up to the election.

It should be noted the Associated Press has not declared a winner. While Trump leads Harris in electoral votes, the winner is yet to be declared in multiple states, including Michigan and Wisconsin. However, since Trump has a lead in both Michigan and Wisconsin, he will likely be the next President of the United States.

But that doesn't mean Kamala Harris has conceded the election despite securing only 224 electoral votes. Trump has 267 electoral votes and needs 270 to win. Wisconsin, with 10 electoral votes, is currently leaning toward Trump's victory.

Donald Trump also has a nearly 5 million-vote lead in popular votes. According to the Associated Press, Kamala Harris has secured 65.3 million popular votes, and Donald Trump has 70.4 million votes in the bag.

Candace Owens backed Trump over Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race

Candace Owens, a staunch supporter of Donald Trump, has backed the former president over Kamala Harris since the latter’s ascendancy as the Democratic Presidential nominee in August 2024.

In August, the Conservative media personality, Candace Owens, even defended Trump questioning the Vice President’s race at a gathering of black journalists.

During an onstage interview at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) convention, ABC News correspondent Rachel Scott asked Trump if he believed Harris’ nomination was driven by her Black heritage. The question stemmed from Republicans accusing the Vice President of being a "DEI [diversity, equity, and inclusion] candidate."

Trump responded that he did not know Harris was Black until recent years. He added:

"She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn't know she was Black until a couple of years ago when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black.”

Trump continued:

“So I don't know, is she Indian or is she Black? I respect either one, but she obviously doesn't, because she was Indian all the way, and then all of a sudden she made a turn, and she became a Black person."

After the comment triggered outrage, Candace Owens shared a clip of Trump's response on a livestream on her YouTube Channel and defended his remark, calling it “funny.” Candace Owens said:

"I hate how leftism has turned Black people into something that we're not... That's objectively funny and it's the same question that we're all asking ourselves, which is like, who is this girl mimicking? Now she's like Kamala from the block—nobody recognizes this Kamala."

Update: Donald Trump has won Wisconsin. With 277 electoral votes, Trump wins U.S presidency.
