Republican Kari Lake has once again lost the Arizona state race. This time, she lost it to Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego, sparking a mix of online reactions.
News outlets and X users have mocked Kari Lake's consecutive senate race loss on social media. The Meidas Touch Network, on their official X account, posted a hilarious video of Kari Lake with a vacuum cleaner, captioning it:
"Clean sweep for Kari Lake! Can’t stop losing!"
Adding to the post is a string of comments that mock Kari Lake's unsuccessful election runs. One user wrote:
"Steps of how to get elected to office: Step 1. Run against Kari Lake!"
Another one said:
"The vacuum is jealous, she sucks ten times more than it does."
To add to Kari's disappointment, the Arizona Supreme Court rejected Kari Lake’s final attempt to challenge her 2022 gubernatorial loss to Katie Hobbs on Wednesday.
This ruling upholds previous decisions by trial judges and the Court of Appeal, preventing Lake from introducing new evidence about tabulator failures and dismissing her request for a new election in Maricopa County. With this decision, Lake, who lost by 17,117 votes, has exhausted her legal options.
Some users also used Lake's legal recourse to her 2022 loss to make fun of her. One X user posted a meme of Kari Lake lake as an old lady in November 2050, saying:
"It's not over yet, keep recounting!"
While some mock Lake's loss, others are critical of it and question counting the votes. One X user noted:
"Look at the vote total numbers! You really believe Gallego got more votes than Trump? and Kari Lake didn’t win when she got more votes than Kamala?"
How many times has Kari Lake lost the Arizona State elections?
Kari Lake has lost two major Arizona state elections: the 2022 governor's race to Katie Hobbs and the 2024 Senate race to Ruben Gallego.
After losing to Katie Hobbs, even after the election results were certified, Lake refused to concede, claiming the election was stolen and demanding a new election. The Arizona Supreme Court rejected her legal challenges, solidifying Hobbs' victory.
Lake also contested the results of the 2024 Senate race, in which she lost to Ruben Gallego, although there were still many ballots to be counted. She has not conceded and claims the election process was unfair, though no concrete evidence supports these claims.
In both elections, her supporters have rallied behind her, believing her accusations of fraud. At the same time, opponents argue that these claims are part of a larger trend that Republicans use to undermine the electoral process.
