"This devastating incident has led to a series of medical interventions, including a craniectomy, and extended hospital stay in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and now, a long road of recovery and treatment for Barrett," the campaign read. "The journey toward his recovery has just begun, and it is a path that will require immense courage, resilience, and support, both financially and emotionally."

Barrett Bullock, whose age is unknown, is the youngest son of Beth, and Bobby Bullock. He is described as "a beacon of light in the lives of those who know and love him". The campaign further states that Barrett Bullock has overcome certain difficulties in his recovery journey and mentions that though he is making "remarkable progress", he and his family also need healing from the mental and emotional trauma of the shooting:

"We encourage everyone to consider donating in support of Barrett's medical expenses, which will include copays, deductibles, therapy services, and transportation and lodging for same. Please also consider sharing this fundraiser with others who may be willing to help so we can amplify our collective efforts to help this family during their time of need."
