The video has garnered much attention from the audience due to its concerning content. Amid the discussions, Jacksonville police have confirmed that they have come across the clip and are looking into it.
Via X (formerly Twitter), the Sheriff's office has released a statement regarding the incident. The statement revealed that the office will make no further comments until the details are reviewed.
"The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office’s Professional Standards Division is aware of the videos circulating from the Georgia-Florida football game. Administrative reviews of the incidents are being opened. As such, the agency will not comment until all facts are known and the reviews have been completed."
In the viral video, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office officials could be seen beating up two individuals who were spectating the game. A man could be seen protecting himself from a caps' punches. The same officer then punched another fan, while the other two were also captured hitting an individual.
Amid the concerning situation, witnesses could also be heard asking the officers why they were punching them.
For the unversed, the game was held at Everbank Stadium on Saturday.
According to News4JAX, civil rights attorney John Phillips has called out the incident and mentioned how the viral video is appalling. However, Phillips added that the details of the incident are still unknown.

Many are questioning the police department as to why one of their officers continuously punched an older man at the game in Florida. Others are asking whether police officers have the right to beat up the public, as shown in the clip. An X user wrote,

One user also tried to draw Florida state's governor's attention to the video. The user also asked for the police officers to face criminal charges after the incident.
