The online community is rallying around Aaron Spencer, a 36-year-old Arkansas father arrested for allegedly shooting and killing his missing teen daughter’s alleged stalker.

Over a thousand people have donated to the fundraiser initiated by Spencer’s wife Heather to help pay for the legal expenses after his arrest.

According to the fundraiser launched on the Christian crowdfunding site GiveSendGo, the incident occurred on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024. Aaron Spencer reported his 14-year-old daughter missing after the family awoke to her absence on Tuesday morning.

Shortly after Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the house, they learned Spencer had located his daughter in the car of Michael Fosler, 67. Fosler supposedly had a “no contact order” with the teen, according to the teen’s mom Heather Spencer.

After finding his daughter with Fosler, a confrontation reportedly ensued between the two men before Aaron Spencer allegedly shot and killed the suspect. Spencer was arrested on a preliminary charge of first-degree murder.

In a Facebook post, Lonoke County Sheriff John Staley said Spencer has yet to face formal charges which will be decided by the District Attorney’s Office.

Shortly after Heather Spencer launched a fundraiser on GoFundMe which was removed by the site since the website doesn’t allow crowdfunding for individuals charged with a crime. She has now initiated a fundraiser at GiveSendGo to help pay for the legal expenses.

Aaron Spencer’s wife Heather Spencer alleged Michael Fosler assaulted their teen daughter over the summer

In a post on Facebook on Thursday, Heather Spencer claimed Fosler had a "no contact order" after he allegedly s*xually assaulted their teen daughter over the summer. Sheriff Staley told USA Today Fosler was arrested by another agency in July. He was reportedly charged with internet stalking of a child and s*xual assault.

In the post, Heather Spencer alleged Fosler “was waiting 6-9 felonies for what he did, not 2." She added:

"He was looking at the rest of his pathetic life in jail, and our daughter was the only witness.”

Heather also thanked the community for the support and added:

“We have gotten a clear picture of a predator who continuously worked with children and preyed on young girls. This man was Chief of police in Indiana and resource officer, giving us a better idea of why the Lonoke county courts have been protecting him and going after my husband.”

Heather said she had no idea Fosler had established contact with her daughter. She noted after the teen went missing on Tuesday they feared Fosler intended to kill her.
