Tonight on Hollyoaks, Mercedes is in good spirits thanks to Joel's false alibi, Warren is coming home, and Ste demands to know why James lied to him. Meanwhile, a distracted resident loses two precious bundles.
Hollyoaks tonight: Ste demands the truth from James
Mercedes excitedly tells Dave and Cindy that Warren is coming home. They gather Donny and Misbah and have a party to celebrate.
Ste arrives at James’ house, demanding to know why he lied about sleeping with Jez. He also reveals that he knows James updated his will and added Leah and Lucas. Ste suspects something is wrong and asks James if he still loves him. James doesn’t answer but is about to let Ste kiss him when there is a knock on the door, and they are interrupted.
At the hospital, Marie and Leela wait for Joel to wake up. When he does, he apologizes to Leela and explains that he did the drugs to numb the pain from losing Noah. He says that after Noah’s funeral, he thought he would find peace, but the pain was worse. Leela is shocked to realize that Joel has been doing drugs since the funeral and even in the house. Joel insists he never did drugs when Daniel was home, but Leela says she’s done.
Hollyoaks tonight: Jez has advice for James
Dave receives a text from Rex, telling him that Warren has an alibi. Dave messages back that they need another way to get him. They meet up, and Dave tells Rex they will show Warren that prison isn’t the worst option.
Jez admits to James that it was Sienna who told Ste they hadn’t slept together. Jez advises James that he has lost someone he loves, and if he could have one more minute with them, he’d take it. He urges James to tell Ste the truth.
Leela is enraged when Joel admits that Mercedes faked his urine test for work and blackmailed him. Leela storms into the party and confronts Mercedes in front of everyone, yelling at her for what she did to Joel. “I already lost my son, and now I’m going to lose Joel,” Leela tells her.
Mercedes tells Leela she protected her family. Leela wonders what it says about her marriage if Joel confides in Mercedes instead of her. Leela feels bad that she didn’t know Joel was on drugs. Mercedes shows Leela sympathy and tells her she knows what it’s like to lose a baby.
Hollyoaks tonight: Dilly gives relationship advice
Dilly tells Ethan that she knows he and Vicky “got it on” and encourages him to admit that he likes Vicky. Dilly tells him to call Vicky and ask her out.
Marie and Jez commiserate about people in their lives who they care about and who are struggling with health issues. Jez tells Marie that they have been lucky enough to have a second chance, and they should try their best.
After James has a call to schedule an MRI that afternoon, he coldly tells Ste to hurry up and sign the divorce papers. Tired of his mixed messages, Ste signs them as James is at his appointment.
Hollyoaks tonight: The police see Joel in the hospital
When Leela returns to the hospital, Joel tells her he shouldn’t have been his dad’s alibi, but he believes Warren is innocent. Joel says he’s scared to lose Warren and Leela. When Joel asks if they can stay together, Leela tells him that he’ll have to go to a drug program and get clean properly. Joel tells her that he will do anything for her and that he loves her. As they kiss, the police arrive and tell Joel that they have him on CCTV footage alone for 20 minutes in a shop. “That’s enough time for your dad to kill Norma,” the police say. Leela watches helplessly as the police arrest Joel for perverting the course of justice.
Vicky is at the park with Mercedes’ twins when Ethan arrives. He tells her he wants to take her out, and she happily accepts. Ethan says that he will text her the details later. After he leaves, Mercedes turns around, and the twins are missing. She calls her dad at the party and tells him what happened. Standing next to Donny, Mercedes receives a text and gasps upon realizing that her babies have been kidnapped.
Dave puts the twins into the car and tells Rex that Warren will discover that freedom is not what it’s cracked up to be. “Just hope for the babies’ sake, Mercedes plays along,” Dave says.
