GH's Sonny honored with special collection of fatherhood episodes

There's no denying that General Hospital character Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is special, and now he has his very own special collection of GH episodes to match.

General Hospital delighted fans with its video collection of the most memorable Nurses Ball moments earlier this spring, and the ABC soap opera is at it again. Only this time, the focus of the collection is on Maurice Benard's iconic character, Sonny Corinthos, and the mobster's most touching moments as a dad.

It might sound like an oxymoron that a dangerous mob boss could be a loving daddy, but as GH fans know, Sonny is actually one of the most fiercely loving and protective dads in soapland. Which is a good thing, considering he has so many kids! In addition to the baby he's currently having with Carly (Laura Wright), he's dad to Dante Falconeri, Michael Corinthos, Kristina Davis, Morgan Corinthos, and Avery Jerome. He was also poised to raise Lila McCall, who died during birth in 2004, two miscarried babies (one each with Carly and Claudia), and a baby Lily Rivera was carrying when she died in a car explosion in 1996.

GH's special, 16-episode collection -- titled "The General Hospital Collection: All Sonny's Children" -- includes touching moments like Sonny learning the truth about Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), Michael's (Chad Duell) devastating confession, Morgan's (Bryan Craig) emotional struggles with mental health, and Sonny's unwavering support of his daughter Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth).

The special Sonny collection is available now through December 1 on ABC.com and on the ABC app.
