You might think killer Black Friday sales are to blame for any slow Internet you might experience this holiday weekend, but the jam is likely due to the digital world coming to a screeching halt over former General Hospital star Vanessa Marcil's latest Instagram posts: the actress, known to soap fans as Sonny's true love, Brenda Barrett, just shared several Instagram posts that hint -- scratch that, scream -- she's definitely on her way back to Port Charles!
Marcil, who originated the role of Brenda in 1992 and last aired as the character in 2013, started the mini-flurry of exciting posts with a photo of a small boy praying along with the caption, "Big news coming."
That tease was followed by a photo of the actress in a hair and makeup chair with the caption, "We are coming home."
While the two posts were enough to get die-hard GH fans buzzing (millions think of the ABC soap as Marcil's true home, after all), the icing on the cake, cherry on top, nail in the coffin, seal the deal, whatever-cheesy-idiom-you-want-to-signify-finality was a post that included a photo of none other than Sonny and Brenda kissing along with the caption, "Never ending."

UPDATE: A spokesperson for General Hospital tells Soap Central that "There are currently no plans for Vanessa's return."
