Will General Hospital's Carly and Nina be the next Port Charles dream team?

Since 2021, General Hospital has served up the "Granny Wars," with Carly and Nina forever battling over Sonny, Willow, Wiley, Amelia, and anyone else they feel like fighting about. Could these two formidable women soon broker a truce with one common goal in mind?

Two women...one Drew Quartermaine

Since Drew's (Cameron Mathison) return to Port Charles when the Granny Wars began, he has slept with both grandmothers, as well as Carly's (Laura Wright) daughter-in-law, who also happens to be Nina's daughter, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). He has now essentially taken over Willow's life as the former cult member hangs on every word he says and believes he is her forever hero.

Nina and Carly can both see how Drew manipulates Willow into thinking he is the only one on her side. Nina watched Willow thank Drew for finding a compromise with Sonny — when it was Nina who got her ex-husband to agree to give Willow back her kids. The moment hit home just how much Willow worships the ground Drew walks on.

Carly also concluded that Drew is trying to isolate Willow from everyone she has ever loved just so she always turns to him. They are disgusted with how demanding and domineering Drew has become, without a hint of self-awareness that he is actually the bad guy in the Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow situation. After all, he slept with his nephew's wife. Somehow, he doesn't seem to see this as a problem.

General Hospital's Drew won't know what hit him

The 2025 GH preview hinted that two unlikely people would team up to expose Drew for who he really is and wake Willow up to the fact that this man will only hurt her. What more unlikely team could there be in Port Charles besides Carly and Nina, two women who have loathed each other for years?

Both Carly and Willow are old pros at lying and scheming when they have a mission in mind. They could have a field day, making Drew's life a living hell and entertaining us at the same time. Imagine the banter between these enemies who could turn into frenemies.

With Nina and Carly catching on to what kind of a man Drew really is and both wanting to fiercely protect their respective children and shared grandchildren, there is no team more perfect to expose Drew to all — but especially to Willow. Then, maybe Willow can get the therapy she's needed since first arriving on the Port Charles scene seven years ago.
