On General Hospital, the seemingly reformed Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has fallen back on his murderous ways. He’s been killing hospital patients with overdose injections of Digitalis, a heart medication that causes cardiac arrest in large quantities. Several Port Charles citizens are following the trail that leads to Cyrus being the perpetrator, but no one can prove it yet. There are many people looking into the cause of these deaths, but only one of them will be the one to get the evidence needed and capture and either convict or kill Cyrus once and for all.
Is a murder mystery in the works?
The obvious choice is Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). She’s not going to stop until she gets vengeance for Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) death. She has a strong suspicion that Cyrus was the one who stabbed Dex, but hasn’t connected him to the Digitalis end of things. However, she’s very impetuous and has already gone to Anna with nothing more than a theory, which she blabbed right in front of Cyrus. So now he knows he’s being investigated and is going to tread carefully moving forward. Plus, Joss couldn’t physically take Cyrus down unless she uses the gun she found when cleaning out Dex’s apartment. Perhaps they’re setting things up for a murder mystery?

Next are Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) and Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson). They’re both separately looking into the mysterious goings-on, with Lucky focusing on Cyrus and Isaiah trying to figure out who’s doing the injecting. The two will probably cross paths as they probe deeper into the mystery, and because they’re friends, they’ll end up working together to prove Cyrus’ guilt. They may even have to confront him at the end physically.
It could be said that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is too busy worrying about his son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and trying to find out who planted the fateful bomb in his apartment. However, if it comes out that Cyrus injected Michael with Digitalis and tried to kill him, Sonny will easily switch gears and outfit the former drug lord with cement galoshes. But Sonny’s also having heart issues and may land in the hospital himself, perhaps even becoming one of Cyrus’ next victims.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) doesn’t have a very good conviction record as a police commissioner. She’s gunning for Cyrus but doesn’t yet have any actual evidence. It’s possible she’ll team up with WSB station chief Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure), who knows full well that Cyrus stabbed Dex. While Brennan may not be able to use his spy satellite video as admissible evidence, he certainly would know how to circumvent that so the local authorities can catch Cyrus and either kill him or put him away for good.
