It was a weird, weird week on General Hospital. It started with a car crash followed by some irrational behavior and seemed to take an hour-long commercial break the day after Ric and Liz ended up at GH cause Kristina cut the brakes.
Krazy Kristina rides again

We've said it before and we'll say it again. We've had enough of Kristina and her never-ending stream of catastrophes that everyone lets her get away with. Before, it was just annoying but now it's turned dangerous. And so far, Kristina seems to be getting away with premeditated attempted murder.
Our jaws were on the floor as we watched this delusional 30-something woman-child waltz into her restaurant, step behind the bar, and smile at her sister whose father Kristina had almost killed.
Did you not want to scream as Sonny and Alexis' narcissistic offspring kneeled in a chapel and prayed for "Molly's dad" to live? She couldn't even be bothered with saying his name when not only is Ric "Molly's dad" — he is also Kristina's uncle! Then again, Sonny only hopes his own brother survives for Molly's sake as well. Two peas of a pod, Kristina and Sonny are, indeed. For two people who say family is everything...well...
While we expected Kristina's behavior this week because she's Kristina and this is what she does, she helped place another character on our outrage list when we thought he had come so far.
Lucky strikes out

What the actual heck is wrong with Lucky? Just when we were starting to forgive him for abandoning Elizabeth and their son for over a decade, he screwed up royally. The second his unhinged boss rambled that she thought she cut Ava's brakes and not Ric's, he should have called her enabling parents and drove her straight to Ferncliff. Instead, he sent her back to Charlie's and told her to pretend like nothing happened.
ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! Who is Kristina to Lucky that he would cover for her for attempted murder? Make it make sense! They have never been close and barely even know one another, considering that Lucky was already a drug-addicted adult when Kristina was a toddler. Even if he didn't know that Elizabeth was also in the car when he told Kristina to run, that was a monumentally horrible move.
When Lucky did learn that Liz was also Kristina's victim, what did he do? Nothing! He could have spoken up immediately, but instead blamed Ric for the accident when he knew what happened wasn't an accident at all. Poor Liz thinks Lucky is a completely changed man who will finally be everything she needs, but instead, he is covering for an attempted murderess for no real reason. We have a sinking feeling that this is going to go on for months because...
Ric and Ava are in the know

It turned out that Ric was still conscious just after the crash and saw Kristina staring into his car. Even Ava became suspicious when she learned that the brakes had failed. These two are about to put two and two together to get Kristina, but who doesn't see Ava using this knowledge to extort money out of Sonny? Thanks to Valentin, she is flat broke, and we all know Sonny will do anything to make sure Kristina's glass house never shatters.
Of course, he will hand over $2 million to make sure that nobody ever hurts his precious insane daughter. We're sure Alexis will fork over some Cassadine cash for good measure, and Kristina will cut someone else's brakes in six months.
That's Drew Cain to you and me

The Quartermaine crypt managed to survive Kristina's counterpart in the "Which Character Can We Hate More?" competition when Drew's dreams of tearing down the building where his own father, grandparents, and son were laid to rest went up in smoke.
Emma ended up arrested, the sheriff physically lifted a cross-legged Tracy, and Drew lost his last name. At least we got some incredible scenes between Anna and Emma where we saw how the Quartermaines have affected Emma her entire life, but we were reminded why we are expecting a "Who Shot Drew?" mystery at any moment.
Every woman in the world likely wanted to punch Drew when he spoke to Portia in the most disrespectful way imaginable. Drew has shown multiple times that he has literally zero respect for women, but getting in Portia's face while practically foaming at the mouth to tell her he would wipe away her cushy little life made our skin crawl. Who even is this man? He is certainly not Drew Quartermaine...and that's because his mother said so. We didn't even have to see Monica to see her laying down the law. She took care of her adoptive son's crypt nonsense and his last name woes in one fell swoop.
An anniversary interlude

All the crash and crypt chaos were erased on Tuesday as if Monday never happened. Alexis forgot that Molly's dad was fighting for his life. Anna forgot that Emma was in jail. And, everyone gathered at General Hospital to celebrate the woman who put Drew Cain in his place the day before.
While the little hospital celebration hour-long interlude seemed jarring coming in the midst of some compelling story-telling, it was a nice little break with our favorites remembering past relationships and the woman who was the heart of the hospital for so many years — Monica Quartermaine. There was only one thing that the day was missing: flashbacks, and we're not talking about a montage of Lucy's Nurses' Ball gowns. The soap was celebrating 62 years on the air and all we got were Lucy Coe memories? Nothing against Lucy, but...yeah, still scratching our heads here.
Sidwell the family man

If it wasn't obvious before, Sidwell is about to become a really big deal in Port Charles and on GH. Not only is he set to completely fund this year's Nurses' Ball, but he now has a whole family on the show. When a random new character gets a family, we know GH is digging in.
There had been rumors for weeks that Lucas' new boyfriend would turn out to be Sidwell's son, but to see it happen just felt off. However, shouldn't we have seen more? Marco waltzed into Wyndemere and told "Dad" he was late before asking "Mom" what she was doing there and...that was it.
Um, where is the follow-up? You end an episode revealing that one brand-new character was the son of two other relatively brand-new characters and then neglect to show them the next day. Since last year, all we heard was that Natalia's heart hurt because she was estranged from her son. So, she sees that son again for the first time in years, and we get her shocked face and nothing else? Thursday's ending is what makes fans tune in on Friday to see the fallout, but GH is gonna GH, isn't it? Big moments followed by...lots of questions...
Super spy on the fly

It took Josslyn three weeks to become a super spy, folks. Don't you feel safer already? Even Joss is bewildered at the speed at which she went from gun-toting college student to international agent before she could blink. Then, she beamed herself home on a commercial break with her "handler" not far behind.
It's time for Josslyn to introduce her new pal to all her co-ed friends. We're sure town crier Gio will have a lot to say.
Port Charles odds and ends

Are we really going to have to watch Lucy flit around town for the next month, appearing out of nowhere to beg people to perform at the Nurses' Ball? And her timing? Always, always off. So what if Ava and Alexis were fretting about Ric in the hospital halls? Lucy has to put on a show!
Somehow, Jordan got roped into being Lucy's assistant this year because we assume Maxie was unavailable for the job. But did she really get Drew and Curtis to agree to perform? Together? Will they kill each other? Hug it out? What on Earth is even happening?
Jason was there the first time Sasha's baby moved. Jason was there the first time Sasha's baby kicked. And...that's it. That's their whole relationship. We thought they had potential at first, but there is no there there.
What was the point in Jason threatening to kill Jack if Carly was ever hurt again if he was just going to turn around a week later and accept Carly and Jack's relationship? To remind us that Jason and Carly are ride-or-die friends? Haven't we been reminded of that enough over the last 30 years? Perhaps Jason could have been more worried about his family's crypt problems this week than Sasha's baby and Carly's love life.
Till next week, Scoopers, when Jason might learn that the mother of one of his sons was in a car crash.
