Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on General Hospital
We think GH might have a new young couple on its hands that seems to be working. Josslyn's romances never seem to catch on. Trina's new story with Kai has received mixed reviews from fans, but Emma and Gio just click as he showed just how much he cared about her in court. Emma has won fans over in general over the last week as she defended the Q crypt and explained the reasons to Anna, but her friendship with Gio is also catching on with fans and with us. Gio would have been willing to be arrested for Emma knowing he had no priors. If Emma had informed him of hers, Gio would have volunteered to chain himself to the Q crypt rather than Emma, but Emma was appalled at the idea of Gio sacrificing for her. She didn't want Gio to end up in her position with a record at just 21 years old. The pair has barely had any scenes alone and have certainly not shared any romantic moments, but their devotion to each other was apparent on Wednesday and we want more. Emma is an established legacy character, while Gio is a Quartermaine who doesn't even know it. Their family histories should be enough to bring them together, but their undeniable organic chemistry doesn't hurt. We now know Emma did something at Berkely that she can't even talk about, but we bet that Gio will be the one to get that secret out of her.
