The Daily Y.A.P.P. for General Hospital, April 9: Will Alexis ever face reality?

Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

Alexis was presented with some pretty clear proof that her precious Kristina has lost her mind and tried to kill someone — on purpose. It doesn't matter that the someone she tried to kill is also someone the Davis women do not like. Kristina still tried to murder Ava and nearly killed Molly's father instead. Alexis just stood there in denial, as always. Deep down, she knows the truth, but she still won't face it, which is part of the reason Kristina is the way she is. Two parents who absolutely refuse to see that their daughter is completely unhinged. And that unhinged daughter? After spending the morning in the hospital chapel crying to Lucky about how guilty she feels for nearly killing Ric and Elizabeth, she just nonchalantly met her father and brother for lunch and ate a salad with a smile on her face as if everything was perfectly normal. She was the concerned daughter and sister, making sure Dante knew that Sonny would need heart surgery. Before the episode was through, she also made sure to go off on Ava, once again blaming the woman for every problem in her life. Talk about feeling no remorse and taking zero responsibility for your actions. Ava should call Alexis' bluff and go straight to Molly to show her who Kristina really is. That might be the only way this character will ever be held accountable for all the havoc she has wreaked, especially over the last year.
