Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What happened on General Hospital

Sometimes it's fun to see a character who presents as super-human be...human. That's what happened to Diane from the get-go. She started her day telling Marco she doesn't like to slip, and Marco made her slip when she introduced him to Sonny without knowing he was Sidwell's son. Well, for a woman who doesn't like to slip, she sure did so when she visited Ric and dropped her briefcase, knocked over Molly's briefcase, and didn't notice that Kristina's commitment papers ended up with Molly. But Diane wasn't done with her slippage. Nope. She slipped with Ric when she asked him to go easy on Alexis. Diane knew immediately that she had said too much, and she had. Ric knew right away that Diane was aware of Kristina's little stunt with Ric's brakes. We first started to see Diane as human when she was dating Robert, clearly jealous of the old feelings he still harbored for Holly. After years of being a character we barely knew, we finally got to know Diane and even like her more. She showed vulnerability with Robert, and after she nearly died from Heather Webber's hook. Watching her screw up time and time again in one episode was glorious because it was a way to get to know the real Diane. She is a (fictional) human who sometimes can't get it together, just like the rest of us, which makes her endearing rather than intimidating. So, bravo!
