Sam spotted Carly leaving Lulu’s hospital room and stopped her in the hallway. She begged Carly to tell the truth. Sam said there was “no way in hell” for Carly and Sonny to sleep together in Tracy Quartermaine’s bed. Carly told Sam that her relationship with Sonny was much different than Sam’s.
Carly took Sam back into Lulu’s room so no one would overhear. Carly said she was sorry for Sam and her mom, but Alexis had gotten herself into the situation. Carly noted that Alexis was a good lawyer who could get herself out of the mess. Carly said that Sonny had the people and resources to get him out of his mess. “There is nothing to get out of,” Carly said. Sam said that protecting Sonny was like breathing to Carly. “Your alibi isn’t only keeping Sonny out of prison; it’s keeping my mother in,” Sam explained.
Carly said she only cared about saving Lulu’s life. Sam wondered what Carly was doing to save Lulu, as it looked like the GH staff was doing the saving. “You’re doing what you always do: Nothing. Jason is the one saving Lulu,” Sam told Carly.
Sam told Carly, “You asked my son’s father to risk his life again, and I am asking for something in return. Will you please recant your statement? I’m not asking you to lie or frame anyone. I’m just asking you to tell the truth. You know it’s the right thing to do.” Carly had tears brimming as Sam walked out.

At Pentonville, Alexis asked Martin again to keep Kristina out of it. Alexis said that if he pointed the finger at Sonny, Kristina would be in the same position. “She will defend both of her parents in a way that will ruin her life,” Alexis said. “Are you telling me that your daughter, a grown woman, cannot be trusted to control herself in the courtroom?” Martin asked incredulously. Alexis said everybody had hated John Cates, so it couldn’t be that hard to go through the list of enemies and point the finger at someone else.
Sonny visited Kristina after being told by Diane that Chase had been asking questions. He reminded Kristina not to talk to the police without an attorney present. Kristina told him the whole story about that night and how she had gone to the Quartermaines' to kill John Cates. “Cates was harassing and tormenting you for weeks. You probably felt like the only way to stop the pain was by ending his life,” Sonny said.
Sonny added that Kristina was going through a mental crisis. “Not a lot of people understand what that is, but I do,” Sonny said. Kristina told Sonny she had joined a support group for grieving mothers. Sonny told Kristina he was proud of her, and he noted that some people feelt too embarrassed or ashamed to care for their mental health. Kristina told Sonny that someone she loved, respected, and admired had set a good example.
Sonny told Kristina that killing someone was never the answer. “Never?” Kristina asked. Sonny explained that once a person made that decision, it marked them for life. He didn’t want her to carry that kind of burden. “What about you? Are you carrying that burden, Dad?” Kristina asked.
Sonny said that Jagger would have continued punishing Kristina to get to Sonny, but it was no longer a problem. Kristina wondered what Sonny had done. “Do you know how much you mean to me? That’s all that matters,” Sonny told her. Kristina worried about Alexis, but Sonny told her to trust him and that her mom would be okay.
At the hospital, Jordan took Isaiah a takeout burger, and they talked about how he was feeling better every day. Jordan took a call, and her mood changed. Jordan asked the person on the phone if the name spelling had been double-checked, and she said she would call back to make pickup arrangements. When she hung up, Isaiah noted it sounded like an important package.
After some prodding to talk, Jordan confided in Isaiah all about the surrogacy and Kristina’s fall one week from her due date. Jordan explained that the call had been to tell her that her granddaughter’s headstone was ready. Isaiah was sympathetic about T.J. and Molly but suggested Jordan get support, as her feelings mattered, too.
Isaiah asked if Lucky had been found, and he worried that Sidwell had a way of making things go wrong. Jordan updated him with what she knew. Isaiah was alarmed that two people had been sent to rescue Jason when Sidwell had an army. Isaiah had assumed they had sent a SEAL team or a WSB extraction unit instead. Jordan said that the WSB couldn’t be involved in an official capacity but was helping behind the scenes. Jordan said Anna and Jason had been invited into the compound, and they hadn’t needed to infiltrate it. Isaiah said Anna and Jason had better be as capable as Jordan said, or they would wind up dead, right beside Lucky.
At the compound, Anna and Jason made small talk with Sidwell and Holly. When Sidwell said he wanted to know why they were really there. Anna told Sidwell that her business dealt with platinum, gold, and diamonds. Holly complained to Sidwell that the visit was supposed to be fun. Since they were going to talk business, she made an excuse to leave the room to get food prepared for the game.
Anna told Sidwell that she could help him move his materials to Switzerland and get him a better deal than he was getting in Dubai. Anna said she could secure his profits in a Swiss bank account. Sidwell said it was either his lucky day—or it was something else entirely. He asked Anna for a reference.
Jordan went to visit Alexis at Pentonville and told her that Irene’s headstone was finished. Alexis hoped that placing it would give Molly and T.J. some closure. Jordan said T.J. had told her that Kristina had planned to sue for custody of the baby.
Alexis said she had told Kristina she didn’t want to be in the middle of her two daughters. Alexis admitted that Kristina had given her the petition, which was how Molly had seen it. Jordan wondered why Alexis had had it if she hadn't taken Kristina’s side. Alexis explained that she had been holding onto it because she had believed emotions would have calmed down once the baby had been born. “I never thought for a moment that she would go through with it,” Alexis said. The two women agreed that they both loved T.J. and Molly and hoped the couple would get through it together.
Molly met with Martin and told him she was there as a concerned daughter, not an assistant district attorney. Martin said it was a conflict of interest, anyway. Molly said she knew her Uncle Sonny had hired Martin. They began running hypothetical situations with one another. They determined that Carly was a good avenue for them to pursue to find a clue that proved Sonny was lying.
Lucky tried picking the lock but heard the guard coming, so he hid his switchblade up his sleeve. The guard brought him food with a knife and fork. He told Lucky that the boss had fancy guests. Lucky knew that meant there was a vehicle, and he used the knife to work on the lock again after the guard left.
Lucky managed to pick the lock and had just opened the door to his cell when Holly rushed in. She told him she was there to help him escape. Lucky wanted to leave in one direction, but Holly tried to tell him to go with her. Sidwell and his guards came around the corner and found them together.
Sidwell brought Holly and Lucky into the room with Anna and Jason and demanded to know how they knew each other. Holly said that her ex-husband had left her for Anna. Sidwell wanted to understand why Holly hadn't told him. Holly said that she had assumed he had already known and had brought Anna to make her jealous. “I didn’t think I could know something you didn’t,” Holly said.
Sidwell wanted to know Lucky’s connection to Holly and said he would beat the truth out of her if needed. Lucky said that Holly was just being nice. “I just wanted to work for you, and all you did was beat me. Everyone knows what’s going on. Those two are trying to take you for everything you’ve got,” Lucky said about Anna and Jason.
Sidwell said it would be easy to kill them all but decided a high-stakes poker game would solve everything. “Three players. If Jason wins, he and Anna live to see another day. If Lucky wins, Holly and Lucky live. I win, you all die,” Sidwell said.
