Sibling Rivalry Erupts on General Hospital as Molly & T.J. Pressure Kristina to Sign Surrogacy Agreement

On General Hospital, Kristina and her girlfriend Allie (a.k.a. Blaze) were recently interviewed on TV by Perez Hilton to discuss the fallout from the leaked recording of Blaze’s mother, Natalia, making homophobic comments. At the end of the interview, Perez noted that Kristina is visibly expecting.

As Kristina massaged her stomach, she smiled and said that they wanted to keep the pregnancy under wraps for a little longer. Fans and viewers of the interview might have easily assumed she meant the baby belonged to Kristina and Blaze. It would have been simple enough (and likely good for PR) to clarify that she was a surrogate for her sister, Molly, but Kristina said nothing.

General Hospital's T.J. expresses his concerns

Later, at the courthouse, T.J. shows the interview to Molly, who gets upset watching Kristina's response to Perez about her pregnancy. While Kristina hadn’t specifically said that the baby was hers, Molly suggests that Kristina's response implied her desire for it to be so. Molly adds that because of the way she handled the question in the interview, “the whole world thinks it is.”

Believing that Kristina would become defensive if confronted, Molly felt she had no other choice but to take legal steps to ensure the surrogacy was carried as originally agreed.

Molly brings papers to Kristina to sign

Molly goes to Kristina’s place, and Kristina assumes her sister is visiting to hear about the interview. She is taken aback when Molly reveals that she and T.J. have concerns about the surrogacy.

She hands her sister the paperwork and demands for it to be signed immediately. Molly explains that the papers are meant to ensure Kristina will be “relinquishing” her parental rights, though Molly dislikes the term “terminate." Molly's concern deepens when Kristina seems reluctant to sign, as Molly believes the agreement was clear and there's no reason to not finalize the papers before the baby is born.

Eventually, Kristina realizes it was the interview that has sparked Molly’s concerns. She reassures her sister that she was only being vague to protect her privacy and apologizes for any misconception.

Kristina hits a nerve on General Hospital

Kristina asks Molly what will happen to the baby if she and T.J. break up, which upsets Molly. She points out that they are not facing problems in their relationship and then reprimands Kristina for being unable to “keep someone long enough to form a real relationship.” Molly snaps and tells her,

“All you have is a string of embarrassing, misguided attempts with men, a crush that drove your teacher out of town, and a messed-up infatuation with a woman who was so ashamed of being gay that she was still in the closet until her mother caused a national uproar by publicly outing her!”

Undeterred by her sister’s rant, Kristina still refuses to sign the papers, citing her concerns about Molly and T.J.’s relationship. As tensions mount between the two sisters, Kristina eventually admits that she wonders if she and Blaze would give the baby a more stable home.

What began as a kind gesture between sisters has quickly grown into a family feud with lasting consequences. Will Kristina and Molly be able to put aside their judgments of each other to see the surrogacy to term? Or will their sibling rivalry interfere with the surrogacy commitment?

General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
