Later this fall, Kelly Monaco will exit General Hospital after 21 years, and Sam McCall is set to be killed off.
General Hospital's Sam always had a man
Sam has been a beloved Port Charles heroine since 2003, with various romances. When she first arrived in town as a con woman, she became involved with Sonny, but that relationship didn't last long. Sam also had a fling with Lucky Spencer and brief romances with John McBain and Silas Clay. However, she also had four great loves during her time on GH, with each one explored below.

After Sam learned she was pregnant with Sonny's child after their relationship had ended, Jason Morgan stepped in to be a father to Sam's baby. He moved her into his penthouse, and they prepared to raise her child together. Sadly, tragedy struck, and Sam's daughter was stillborn.
However, Jason and Sam had fallen in love. It just took them a long time to admit it and even longer to finally get together. Jason's dangerous job got in the way of their love life most of the time, but in 2011, Jason and Sam finally married in the courtyard of their favorite Chinese restaurant. Unfortunately, their honeymoon turned to horror when a crazed Franco made it seem like he had raped Sam.
When Sam became pregnant, fudged DNA tests made it seem like Franco was the father of Sam's child. She eventually gave birth to a son, but Heather Webber made Sam believe that baby Danny had died. Months later, Jason found Sam's son; however, the night they brought him home, tragedy struck, and Jason was presumed dead after a shooting.
Sam thought she had found Jason again a few years later and remarried him, but soon, the real Jason returned. They tried to give romance a try again, but Sam had changed and didn't want to raise children around Jason's dangerous lifestyle any longer.
Drew and Sam
The Jason that Sam thought she had found in 2015 turned out to be Jason's long-lost twin, Drew Cain. Before Sam learned "Jason's" true identity, she had fallen in love with this tamer and more talkative version of her original Jason. In fact, Sam married him and gave birth to his daughter, Scout.
When "Jason" was finally revealed to be Drew, Sam still tried giving their marriage a go; however, her pull toward the real Jason was too strong, and she eventually broke things off with Drew.
Patrick and Sam
Between Jason "dying" and Sam later falling for his brother, Sam had a romance with Dr. Patrick Drake. She even moved into Patrick's house with Danny and agreed to marry the good doctor while forming a blended family with his daughter, Emma.
However, when Sam learned a man calling himself Jake Doe was really Jason (and later turned out to be Drew), she ended things with Patrick. At least Patrick's true love, Robin, returned to town soon after, so Patrick and Emma weren't heartbroken for long.
Dante and Sam
Sam thought she and the real Jason could finally have a stable life together raising Danny and Scout. She apparently forgot that Jason was addicted to danger and would always put his mob work for Sonny above all else.
Sick and tired of her life and her children's lives being in danger, Sam broke things off with Jason and oddly fell for top cop Dante Falconeri.
Nobody ever expected Dante and Sam to become romantic, but these two lonely people found they had more in common than they thought and fell in love. Sam and Dante are currently living together in her penthouse with their children, but when tragedy strikes, it will change Port Charles lives forever.
