Ric and Elizabeth reported Alexis to the police; General Hospital recap for Friday, September 6, 2024

Ric and Elizabeth on General Hospital
Ric and Elizabeth on General Hospital

At General Hospital, Elizabeth led Ric into an office, where they continued their chat about Alexis. Ric once again insisted that they had to tell the cops what they'd seen on the bridge. Elizabeth argued that they didn't really know what they'd seen because it had been dark. Elizabeth suggested that maybe Alexis hadn't even had a gun. "I don't believe it. I never thought I would see the day when Elizabeth Webber would refuse to do the right thing," Ric said.

Elizabeth reminded Ric that her last name was Baldwin, not Webber. She mentioned that it had been years since Ric had been in Port Charles, so he didn't know her well anymore. Elizabeth felt that she knew Alexis better than Ric. "Alexis would never kill anyone. That much I know is true," she said.

Elizabeth reasoned that Molly wouldn't want to see her mother be arrested. Ric countered that Molly would want to know the truth, even if the truth hurt. Ric stressed that he was an officer of the court and was obligated to tell what he had seen. Elizabeth rolled her eyes. She accused Ric of wanting to do his civic duty just to "stick it to Alexis."

Ric admitted that he couldn't stand Alexis, but he still thought that going to the police was the right thing. Ric finally convinced Elizabeth to do as he suggested, so they met with Chase at the police station. They told Chase that they had seen Alexis throw a gun off the footbridge. Elizabeth insisted that she didn't believe Alexis had had anything to do with John's death.

After Ric and Elizabeth gave their statements, Elizabeth left, but Ric stayed behind. He made sure to let Chase know that Alexis had killed before.

Earlier, Chase congratulated Dex on graduating from the academy. Anna soon appeared to talk about a development in John's murder case. Anna told Chase and Dex that Sonny owned the type of gun used to kill John. Anna said she was trying to get a search warrant, so Dex warned Anna that she needed one fast because Sonny would be quick to get rid of the gun.

Sonny and Jason met at his penthouse. Jason was surprised to hear that Sonny was missing a gun. Sonny wondered if Jason had taken it, but Jason said that he hadn't. Sonny told Jason he was more concerned with getting rid of the gun that he had used to kill John. Jason took the gun and the spent shell casings.

Jason asked if anyone had seen Sonny at the boathouse. Sonny had to admit that Michael had seen what had happened—and had covered for him. Jason was surprised to hear that Carly was Sonny's alibi. Jason was still worried about the missing gun, as it was registered to Sonny. "We need to find it fast," Sonny said.

Jason and Sonny went over everyone who had been to the penthouse recently. Jason wondered if Ava knew where the lockbox was. Sonny thought it was possible. Jason then took the opportunity to tell Sonny all about his night saving Ava.

Jason started to leave, but Anna arrived with backup and a search warrant. Anna entered the apartment with Dex and two other cops while handing Sonny the paperwork. Anna suggestedt that Sonny hand over his 9mm gun, but Sonny refused. Dex interrupted and said he knew where Sonny kept his lockbox.

Anna spoke to Jason alone for a few minutes, expressing her disappointment that Jason was working for Sonny again. Dex soon placed the lockbox on the table, so Sonny opened it. Sonny feigned ignorance about the missing gun, claiming that he was just as shocked as Anna that a gun had vanished. Anna warned Sonny that unless he could produce the gun, there was no way to prove it hadn't been used to kill John.

Josslyn stormed into her apartment and slammed the door, only for Carly to start banging on it. Josslyn finally opened the door and asked if Carly had spent the night with Sonny. Carly replied that she had, so Josslyn said they had nothing more to talk about.

Carly barged in and tried to reason with Josslyn, who wanted to know what had happened to Carly's self-respect. Carly insisted that Josslyn hear her out. Josslyn explained that she'd heard that Carly and Sonny had had sex in Tracy's bed, and Josslyn wanted to hear the truth from Carly. "I went to Sonny's to prove to myself that you wouldn't be there. It was like a punch in the stomach, seeing you coming out of that apartment," Josslyn said.

Carly insisted the night before had been a one-time thing. She even admitted to being annoyed with herself for succumbing. Josslyn was still appalled and was sure Carly would end up back with Sonny. When Josslyn brought up John's murder and saw the look on Carly's face, she knew exactly what had happened. "Mom, did you sleep with Sonny last night, or did you give him an alibi for murder?" Josslyn asked.

Josslyn threw Carly's last bout of legal troubles in Carly's face, incredulous that her mother would risk her freedom again. Carly explained that she would always love Sonny, and with love came loyalty. Josslyn didn't think Sonny was worth being loyal to.

In Somalia, Holly and Lucky had a few moments alone in his dungeon-like prison. Lucky immediately asked why Holly was there and was surprised to learn that she was romantically involved with Lucky's captor, Sidwell. "The heart wants what it wants," Holly said.

The conversation soon turned to Luke. Holly told Lucky that he had been missed at the memorial Tracy had held in Amsterdam. Lucky claimed he'd been on his way, but he'd gotten sidetracked. Holly told Lucky that he was just like Luke. Lucky agreed and said he could smell a con a mile away. Lucky knew that Holly had to be conning Sidwell.

Lucky also informed Holly that Isaiah would be returning with backup. He suggested Holly leave. Holly wasn't about to do that because she was close to getting what she wanted. Lucky reminded her the clock was ticking because Isaiah had likely contacted the WSB.

Holly then asked Lucky when he had last visited Laura and Aiden in Port Charles. Lucky admitted it had been awhile, but people needed his help. Holly wondered aloud why Lucky thought he was the only one who could fix people's problems. Lucky said he was sure his family was doing fine without him. Sidwell soon returned. Holly claimed that she had wanted to test Lucky's skill at cards. After she excused herself to get ready for her special night with Sidwell, Sidwell sat down to play a hand of poker with Lucky.

In Port Charles, Jordan remained at the hospital, determined to learn Isaiah's identity. She entered his room just in time for Dante to show up and tell Jordan that he had found Isaiah's phone at the scene of the accident. The phone hadn't told them much, and a system search of Isaiah's tattoo hadn't yielded any results.

Dante and Jordan looked through Isaiah's clothing and decided to trace the serial number on the phone. When they returned to the police station, Dante told Jordan that the phone had been purchased at the Nairobi airport, which they realized had been where Laura and Kevin were headed. Jordan and Dante agreed that it wasn't a coincidence.

Back at the hospital, Sidwell's assassin was dressed in scrubs as he entered Isaiah's room and pulled a syringe out of his pocket.

Brook Lynn, Olivia, and Ned stood in the Quartermaine foyer, trying to listen in on Lois' elocution lesson, but they were unable to hear anything. Tracy was appalled to see her family eavesdropping, telling them, "She's getting a speech lesson. She's not being debriefed on an alien abduction."

Ms. Finch finally opened the living room doors and announced that she and Lois could hear the people in the foyer, but they were done for the day. Lois said the lesson had gone well. Ms. Finch was thrilled, saying that she had never had such a diligent student. Lois proudly showed off her new speaking skills, but Olivia wasn't impressed. "Put her back. Do your magic Voodoo witchcraft. This is not the Lois Cerullo that I love. Change her back," Olivia demanded.

Lois insisted she was happy with the results. As Olivia ranted and raved with a perfect Brooklyn accent, Tracy said she'd triple Ms. Finch's pay if Ms. Finch could also fix Olivia's speech. Lois admitted that she was having fun. "It's like pretending to be somebody else. Now I understand why Meryl Streep picks the roles where she has to learn accents," Lois said.
