Reunion time? General Hospital fans clamor for a 'Vanna' comeback

General Hospital fans were devastated last summer when it seemed like Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) had finally found their way back to one another just for Valentin to skip town the next day, taking teenage daughter Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) with him.

Anna was the one who told Valentin to leave, knowing the FBI was after him for some nefarious crimes. However, Valentin is now back in Port Charles and behind bars after Anna arrested him for these various crimes. Since criminals don't often spend much time paying for their misdeeds on soaps, we expect to see Valentin roaming around town again soon. Fans seem to want him to roam right back to his "darling" Anna.

The slow burn gone bust

GH toyed with the idea of putting Anna and Valentin together for six years before it finally happened. The two characters danced around one another since Valentin first appeared on the Port Charles scene in 2016. We learned that they had attended WSB training together years ago and Valentin had an unrequited crush on Anna. He even thought she took his virginity and left him, but it turned out to be Anna's twin sister Alex who did that.

By the time they finally made love for the first time in the fall of 2022, the Vanna fandom had grown by leaps and bounds and cheers could be heard in soap-watching living rooms everywhere. They even went on the run for months, falling deeper in love. When the on-the-run adventure ended, Anna and Valentin barely had a moment of happiness before they were torn apart again. With Valentin back after his own adventure with Charlotte, it looks like it's time for more Vanna fun.

General Hospital fans go wild over Vanna

"' I see it in your eyes You still love me,'" @GHFan10130 wrote on X (formerly Twitter). "Anna & Valentin are not even a couple yet they still give the best angst and it instantly makes you root for them to get back together. It was definitely a mistake to break them up."

@ChillowLover echoed the same sentiments, writing, "Can I just say the way #Vanna is killing soap Twitter!! Is proof that they was a couple to not break up!!! How u ruin vanna but keep the other boring pairings."

@DVJohnson shared a gif of Valentin and Anna during a romantic moment, asking for more of the same. "Please, #GH, let us have nice things," they wrote.

Even fans who might not like Anna very much at the moment want to see her with Valentin.

"'You've committed too many crimes, my darling. It's time to face justice'" @jennchambers posted on Blue Sky. "Anna to Valentin. I'm not the biggest Anna fan anymore and I have no clue what the writers are doing with Val but their chemistry is still so intense."

With fans waiting patiently (or impatiently) for a Vanna reunion, maybe it's time GH gives the audience what it wants.
