Carly sat vigil with Lulu in Lulu's hospital room, telling her help was on the way. Brennan soon appeared at the door to tell her that the crew from Africa had landed safely. Carly thanked Brennan, and he told her they made a good team.
Lucky and Jason arrived at the nurses' station. Lucky immediately introduced himself as Lulu's brother. Portia quickly took Lucky to run tests on his liver. Lucky asked how Lulu was doing, so Portia gave it to him straight. "Her condition is deteriorating, and we're running out of time," Portia said.
After Portia drew Lucky's blood, she explained that they needed to find out if he was a match for Lulu and, if so, that his liver met the transplant criteria. Portia also examined Lucky to ensure he was in the right physical condition to donate a portion of his liver.
When the tests were complete, Lucky met up with Jason by the elevators, marveling at the fact that he was actually home. Both men talked about how hard returning to Port Charles was, both for themselves and their loved ones.

Carly soon walked off the elevator and quickly hugged Lucky. She informed him that she was trying to get in touch with Laura and Kevin but hadn't been able to reach them. Lucky admitted he had received Carly's email about Bobbie's death, and he apologized for not writing back.
Lucky quietly walked into Lulu's room, kissed her hand, and told her that he was there. He then flashed back to being a child and talking to baby Lulu. "I promised to take care of you, but I wasn't there when you needed me most. I was too busy hiding out in Ireland or Africa...I told myself that I was doing good in the world, but you and I both know that I was just running and hiding."
After Portia took Lucky to see Lulu, Carly and Jason reunited. Jason didn't have much to say, but Carly was just happy that Jason and Lucky were home and safe. Carly was shocked when Jason mentioned Holly. "That's a name I did not expect to hear," Carly said.
Jason told Carly all about how Holly had helped them. "If Holly didn't love Luke so much, we'd probably all be dead," Jason said. When Jason got up to the part about the drone strike, Carly was thrilled to learn she had saved them via her friendship with Brennan. Jason wasn't happy that Carly was working with Brennan, but Carly insisted she wasn't. Jason warned Carly that she couldn't trust Brennan.
Elizabeth sat Aiden down to tell him about Lucky's return. She asked Aiden how he felt about his dad being back, but Aiden wasn't sure. "It's been a long time since I've heard from him at all. I was always the one who emailed first. Once, I let it go for five months to see if he would reach out to me," Aiden admitted.
Aiden said he didn't hate Lucky and was glad Lucky was coming back. "It's not like he's coming back for me. He's here to help Aunt Lulu," Aiden said. Aiden wasn't even sure he would see Lucky and wondered if his dad would just help Lulu and take off again. Elizabeth was sure that wouldn't happen. Aiden knew things might be awkward between him and Lucky, but he said he would be okay hanging out with him.
Before Aiden left for school, he asked Elizabeth if he was like Lucky. He said he preferred being compared to Elizabeth. "People might call me a mama's boy for saying it, but it's true. I'm good with being my mom's son," Aiden said.
After Aiden was gone, Terry stopped by to inform Elizabeth that Lucky was at the hospital. Elizabeth asked if Lucky was okay. "He seemed like he'd been through some stuff," Terry said.
Elizabeth and Terry discussed Lucky's return, with Elizabeth admitting he was practically a stranger. Elizabeth told Terry that hearing Lucky's voice on the phone had stirred up feelings for "the person he was," not necessarily the man Lucky was "now." Elizabeth believed Lucky would take off again once Lulu was doing better.
Just as Terry returned to the hospital and learned from a relieved Portia that Lucly was a match for Lulu, Lucky walked into Bobbie's, where Elizabeth was getting coffee.
Anna plopped down on her couch to relax, relieved to finally be home. She quickly flashed back to kissing Jason and asked herself, "What are you doing, Devane?"
Felicia arrived to interrupt Anna's thoughts but could tell her friend was distracted. Anna tried making excuses, telling Felicia she was tired, but Felicia didn't buy it. "I need to know what happened on that trip from start to finish. Every detail," Felicia said.
Anna told Felicia all about what had happened in the casino, shocking Felicia when she mentioned that Holly was Sidwell's girlfriend. Felicia was impressed that Holly had risked her life for Anna and Jason. Anna filled Felicia in on the rest of the story. Felicia was glad Jason had been there for Anna when Anna had thought her life would end.
Felicia pointed out that Jason had been there for a teenage Robin when Robin had thought she was going to die, so Felicia expected he had also been a comfort for Anna. Felicia was also curious about them all being saved by a "coincidental drone strike."
James opened the door and found Holly standing there. Holly was surprised that James remembered her. When Mac walked into the room, he was stunned to see Holly and invited her in. She was hoping to find Robert and surprise him, but Mac told her Robert wasn't there.
Mac had to take James to school, so he asked Holly to wait there until he returned. Once alone, Holly made a mysterious phone call to talk about "ice." Mac returned and found Holly had poured some Champagne. Mac and Holly spent some time catching up. Mac shocked Holly by telling her that he had a son.
Holly updated Mac on Ethan, telling Mac that her son was "out of trouble and doing splendidly." Holly finally asked what was going on with Robert, so Mac was blunt. "Robert has built a life for himself here, post-WSB, that makes him very happy. I'm worried that your visit will ruin it," Mac said. An upset Holly left.
Robert welcomed Brennan into his office and asked for an update on what had happened in Africa. Brennan debriefed Robert but warned him that anyone he had just rescued was not safe if Sidwell was still alive somewhere. When Robert asked who the fourth person on the plane was, Brennan answered him with a question. "How worried should I be about Holly Sutton?" Brennan asked.
Robert didn't have an answer but said he'd get back to Brennan after he spoke with Holly. Once Brennan was gone, Holly attempted to knock on Robert's office door, but she chickened out and left.
Nina walked into Curtis' office, apologizing for being late. She took one look at Curtis in his suit and told him she was impressed with his new look. Curtis was all business, updating Nina on Crimson's distributors.
Talk soon turned to Drew's campaign. Nina couldn't help but gush. "Being with Drew as his campaign wife has been incredible," Nina said. Curtis wasn't sure what Nina meant by that. Nina explained that she and Drew were letting the public draw their own conclusions about Nina and Drew's relationship.
"Sounds to me like you're devoting a lot of time and energy to someone who's just a friend," Curtis remarked. He looked alarmed when Nina told him she felt that she and Drew could have a real relationship. Nina explained they had a nice vibe, but Curtis was still concerned.
"I just don't want to see you get hurt," Curtis said, before getting a phone call and congratulating the caller. It turned out Marshall had been invited to tour with Wynton Marsalis.
