After more than a decade -- and three different characters later -- Michael Easton's time on General Hospital has come to a close.
Michael Easton, who has been playing Dr. Hamilton Finn on General Hospital since 2016, shared a video on June 26, announcing his departure from the soap.
In the video, which looks like it was recorded at night outside GH's Prospect Studios, Easton reveals that he had just taped his final scenes.
"I've always been partial to the Irish goodbye," he said as he started his farewell. "That's when you leave the party without actually telling anyone you're gone, but I thought you all deserved better. So, I just want to let you know that I just filmed my final scenes here at General Hospital.

"I've loved every minute that I've been here," the actor continued. "I want to thank the entire cast and crew for allowing me to share their stage these past ten years. Most of all, I want to thank you for all the kindness and love you've shown me and my family. I won't ever forget you. And as I walk out of here for the last time, and with apologies to the great Lou Gehrig, I feel like the luckiest man on the face of the earth."
Easton began his GH tenure soon after One Life to Live ended in 2012, playing John McBain, the OLTL character he brought to life starting in 2003. When a legal dispute regarding who owned the rights to OLTL and All My Children characters ensued, McBain was written off, and Silas Clay was created. Easton played Silas until that character was killed in 2015.
In March of 2016, Easton re-entered the Port Charles scene as Hamilton Finn, a quirky infectious disease doctor Monica Quartermaine summoned to town to treat Tracy Quartermaine's brain worms. During his time in Port Charles, Finn romanced Hayden Barnes, Anna Devane, and Elizabeth Webber.
If you count the brief time that Easton reprised his Port Charles role of former rock star, possible vampire Stephen Clay/Caleb Morley, Easton technically played four different characters on General Hospital.
In recent weeks, recovering drug addict Finn began excessively drinking after the death of his father, Gregory Chase. Finn's behavior since drinking caused Elizabeth to break up with him, and Chase and Brook Lynn to seek custody of his daughter, Violet, as loved ones have tried to convince him to go to a rehab facility.
With Easton's exit, none of the actors who moved to General Hospital following the cancellation of One Life to Live remain on the show. Roger Howarth, who also played three different characters, wrapped up his run in 2023. Kristen Alderson, who played both Starr Manning and Kiki Jerome, opted out of the ABC soap in 2015.
