General Hospital's Kelly Thiebaud mourns the loss of a beloved pet

Former General Hospital star Kelly Thiebaud had to say goodbye to a much-loved family member.

Kelly Thiebaud, who left the role of General Hospital's Britt Westbourne as 2023 began, had to bid farewell to someone she held near and dear to her heart -- her dog Ranger, who she's had to part with before.

"My little big boy Ranger, and Whiskey's best friend in the whole world, left us yesterday... He hasn't been in our lives for several years but I loved him just the same," Thiebaud wrote on Instagram next to a series of photos of Ranger and Whiskey.

She explained how she has had to say goodbye to him in the past, but this final time ripped her heart out.

"My heart goes out to his adopted family that loved him and gave him a wonderful home for the last 5 years. I know you are feeling a huge whole in your heart. I had to say goodbye to Ranger twice before and it ripped me to pieces. This is our final goodbye... You were such a sweet cuddly good boy who never understood how big you were. I love you forever Rangy.”

Ranger is one of two dogs that Thiebaud owned with former fiancé Bryan Craig, who played Morgan Corinthos on GH, with Whiskey being the other one. The two began dating in 2013 but broke things off in 2015.

Whiskey makes frequent appearances on Thiebaud's social media accounts and still lives with the actress and her boyfriend in London, where they now live.

Thiebaud played Britt on GH off and on from 2012 to 2023. She taped her last scenes in late 2022, when Britt died in her mother, Liesl's, arms after being attacked by the Hook serial killer.

Our hearts go out to Kelly Thiebaud on this difficult loss.
