Steve Burton is back on General Hospital, and Jason Morgan is doing what Jason Morgan does best -- aiming his pistol at the "bad" guys and getting the job done.
Before General Hospital's Jason got the perfect shot and killed the sniper who hadn't yet managed to take out Sonny, he referred to Stone Cold as "Jacobs," ostensibly calling him by his last name. At first, fans thought that Jason had amnesia and somehow remembered that name had significance in his past life, but it was clear from his recognizing Dante that Jason knows exactly who he is.
That could only mean that Jason chose the name Jacobs on purpose. And it is certainly no coincidence that Jacob is the name of Jason's firstborn son with Elizabeth.
Just hearing the name uttered got fans thinking that GH is trying to give us a hint -- will Jason and Elizabeth's relationship be resurrected, giving Liason fans the story they've waited 25 years to see?

"Jason using Jacobs," X (formerly known as Twitter) user @SapphoMedusa posted. I don't care what people say. Jason and Jake will always have a special bond with each other. Why else would he use Jacobs."
"Yep, he is going by the name Jacobs on purpose," @RedGlassDoves wrote with joy.
Does this mean that GH is trying to tell us that Jason could end up with Elizabeth this time? Maybe. Maybe not. When "Jason" returned in 2014 with amnesia and a new face, he called himself Jake at first, too.
That version of Jacob even fell for Elizabeth but eventually ended up with Sam. At the time, that character was meant to be a recast Jason, but when Steve Burton made his 2017 return, we learned that the man who once called himself Jake was really Jason's long-lost brother, Drew.
However, this time, Jason and Sam were already a thing of the past by the time Jason was "killed" again in 2022. She is now in a popular pairing with Dante, while Liz is in a decidedly unpopular pairing with Finn. Does that make Elizabeth semi-available (in soap terms, at least) and ready for romance with Jason "Jacobs"?
What do you think? Is Jason using the name Jacobs for a very special reason? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
