On March 4, Steve Burton made his on-screen return to General Hospital as Jason Morgan -- and one fan base was more than ready for the occasion.
Jasam? Jarly? What about Liason? That's what fans of General Hospital's Elizabeth Webber and Jason Morgan seemed to be saying the day Steve Burton was set to make his on-screen comeback.
Liason fans took their job seriously when they rented a mobile digital billboard truck to play various Liason reunion scenes from throughout the years. According to Liason fan Mariah Christenson, the idea was born in January when news broke that Burton would be returning to GH.
"A group of us who are all friendly on this app, anyway, started a DM group with the idea of doing something big for Steve's return," she told Soap Central. "Liason fans have made a name for ourselves over the years, and it's been a minute."

When the billboard made it to ABC's Prospect Studios on the morning of March 4, dedicated Liason fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to show their dedication to their favorite pair, whose attraction began back in 1999, hence the 25 Years of Liason hashtag.
X user Mrs. X's daughter drove to the studio first thing in the morning to capture video of the truck at the GH studio, but that wasn't its only stop. The mobile billboard was also set to stop by the local KABC news studio.
"#Liason fans are celebrating Steve Burton's return to #GH & #25YearsOfLiason with our favorite #JasonMorganReturns moments on a mobile #LiasonBillboard. It will be all over Los Angeles today - First Stop -Gates of Prospect Studio," tweeted @BuyingAir.
"So incredibly excited to be part of this fanbase for literally half of my life. I turn 40 this year, and this has been an amazing online community to be a part of. This was SO MUCH fan to plan and anticipate!! #WelcomeBackJasonMorgan #Liason #LiasonBillboard #GH #25YearsOfLiason," said @crimsonglass.
This prominent display of affection for Jason and Elizabeth, two characters who shared passion, share a son, and never really got a chance to be together, is 20 years in the making from a fanbase that refuses to give up.
"I think the combo of 2024 being the 25th Anniversary of Jason & Liz's story and Steve's return really fueled us," Christensen said. "With the announcement of the new head writers, both of whom wrote some of Liason's best scenes back in the day, we felt like the timing couldn't be better to let everyone know we're still here and still interested in our couple."
