General Hospital's Nancy Lee Grahn is about to join her daughter for a new music endeavor. But first, Kate has to give her some lessons.
General Hospital's Nancy Lee Grahn is an Emmy-winning soap actress who has been bringing Alexis Davis to life for the past 27 years. Before that, she rose to daytime fame as Julia Wainwright on NBC's classic soap Santa Barbara, where she won her first gold statuette. One thing she has not done since joining soaps in the 1980s was sing -- but that's about to change.
Grahn has left the singing to her daughter Kate, a young musician who graduated from UCLA in 2020 before releasing several singles she wrote herself. Now, Grahn is ready to have Kate join her during a public appearance on March 3 at Uncle Vinnie's Comedy Club in New Jersey. As Grahn explains in a new Instagram video, she started her career in musical theater, but her pipes are a bit rusty at the moment.
So, to get ready for the big day, Grahn enlisted Kate to give her some singing lessons -- to hilarious results, as seen in the video below.

You can watch Kate walking her mom through a series of vocal exercises but also telling her, "Let's try it on pitch this time." (Ouch!) We even get to watch as the actress takes her turn on the guitar.
If this musical (and comedy) appearance goes well for Grahn, does that mean we might see Alexis perform at an upcoming Nurses Ball? Alexis rarely lets loose like that, but there's a first time for everything, right?
