Congratulations are in order for General Hospital star Sofia Mattsson (Sasha Gilmore) and her husband, Thomas Payton, who are the proud parents of a baby girl. Mattsson took to Instagram to share the official announcement.
"Couldn't ask for a better birthday than spending it with my girl who's a little over one month today! Born 5-21-23 Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes!! Feeling very grateful," Mattsson captioned a photo of herself with the little one.
Mattsson and Payton welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on July 26, 2021.
Mattsson has chosen to not reveal the names of her children publicly.
Several of Mattsson's GH co-stars shared in the love.
"Ohhhhh so beautiful!!!! Happy Birthday," Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) gushed. Brytni Sarpy (ex-Valerie, GH; Elena Dawson, The Young and the Restless) added, "Happy Birthday and congrats." Tanisha Harper (Jordan Ashford) noted, "This is just too sweet. 2 beauties. Happy birthday darlin!"
Mattson joined the cast of General Hospital in 2018.
