Willow has a whole lot of drama in her life right now, including fighting for her life. When will things start to settle down for her? Katelyn MacMullen shares her thoughts.
In real life, facing multiple challenges at one time can be incredibly overwhelming. Maybe that's part of the reason so many people are attracted to soap operas: there's nothing quite like someone else's problems to make us feel better about our own.
Take General Hospital's Willow. She has stage-four leukemia, needs a bone marrow transplant, just learned that her nemesis is her biological mom, and could be on the verge of learning that the man she is about to marry has been plotting against his own father.
Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Tait) sat down for a chat recently with ABC7 Chicago. The conversation covered all issues Willow is facing, with a special emphasis on how "a simple swab of the cheek" can help determine if a person is potentially able to save someone else's life by being a bone marrow donor.

"It is something that is incredibly important to me," MacMullen said of Willow's leukemia storyline. "I've had cancer touch and affect my life, people close to me, as I'm sure so many people have."
From there, the conversation became more soapy. Is there any way that Willow and Nina could ever become... let's say in a better place than they current are and historically have been.
"Hmm... that's a good question," MacMullen said with a chuckle. "I mean, as you know, Nina and Willow have had such a tumultuous relationship up until this point, but I think that anything is possible -- especially on this show!"
And what about that Willow/Michael wedding?
"I have no idea how that's going to turn out. Honestly, we don't even know if the wedding will happen," MacMullen commented. "We have to see what happens with Willow's state of health, and I'm truly excited. I have no idea what's going to happen. I'm excited to see how it's all going to unfold. I'm sure... it's going to be messy."
