The next chapter of former General Hospital star Briana Nicole Henry's (ex-Jordan Ashford) life has officially begun: she's a new mom!
Congratulations are in order for Briana Nicole Henry (ex-Jordan Ashford), who, together with her husband, Kris Bowers, is thrilled to announce the birth of the couple's first baby, a daughter named Coda who arrived on February 28.
The actress and Bowers shared the exciting news in separate Instagram posts, both of which quote passages by writer Yrsa Daley-Ward.
"You have introduced me to my favorite version of myself," Henry wrote in her post. "Thanks for making the journey here with me, little one. Welcome my little Coda, I love you endlessly."

Bowers' post expressed gratitude to his wife for bringing their daughter into the world. "Thank you for making us a family, Briana," he wrote.
Henry announced her pregnancy in November of last year in an Instagram post that revealed that carrying a child was a very emotional experience for her.
"Pregnancy is different for everyone, but for myself, it's revealed a level of vulnerability that has brought me to my knees most days. It has illuminated what magic it is that any of us have gotten here in the first place, and that that arrival was due to sacrifice and a deep love," she posted. "Pregnancy asks us to become homes to people we never could have dreamt up even in the most beautiful of dreams. That it would demand us to surrender a version of ourselves to people we haven't met yet but yearn to."
The actress also gave a shout-out to her husband, writing, "@krisbowersmusic I love you. The thought of you holding our little one in your big beautiful hands makes me want to cry with such gratitude. She will be so adored, so loved, so empowered."
For those wondering about the name Coda, it has a special meaning for the couple. Bowers is a composer whose credits include Green Book and Bridgerton; coda is a musical term that denotes the section of music that brings a song to an end.
Henry took on the role of Jordan Ashford in 2019. Last September, she shocked fans with the announcement that she was leaving the soap, and her character exited the canvas that same day. GH recently announced that it had recast the role of Jordan, and new portrayer Tanisha Harper made her debut in early March.
