Sole survivors of horrific mass murders unite in Red Riding Hoods, a spooky fictional podcast starring General Hospital's Haley Pullos (Molly Lansing) and Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller), and Days of our Lives' Eric Martsolf (Brady Black).
Do you dare to listen to the spooky podcast Red Riding Hoods? Director Sarah Joy Brown (ex-Carly Corinthos/Claudia Zacchara, General Hospital; ex-Madison James, Days of our Lives) sure hopes so!
The three-time Daytime Emmy winner is proud to be helming the creepy fiction series, which follows a group of sole survivors of horrific mass murders who call themselves the "Final Girls" and who must hunt malevolent entities while uncovering the apocalyptic conspiracy that unites them.
"I was initially drawn to this project by its unique spin on the classic tale of Riding Hoods -- turning it into an authentic story about female empowerment and survivorship," enthuses Brown. "It's been an incredibly satisfying experience to direct in the horror podcast space, and I'm grateful to have had so many talented and creative people along for the ride."

Those talented and creative people include General Hospital stars Haley Pullos (Molly Lansing) and Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller), as well as DAYS' Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), all of whom have roles in the ten-part series.
"In show business, there's no finer day, on set, stage or behind the mic, than working with those you love and admire," Hennesy shares. "Sarah Brown said, 'Hey Carolyn, I've got...' and I said, 'When do you want me?' It's that simple. The fact that it's a brilliant idea manifested into a brilliant story and cast with tremendous talent is, you know... gravy!"
Pullos was also thrilled to work with Brown, but she reveals that the first thing that caught her attention about the project was her character's growth throughout the series.
"[Elisa] goes through some ridiculously traumatic things and, instead of letting it engulf her, Elisa really finds her power," the actress says. " Not only did I instantly connect with the script, but I also had the most amazing time working on this project! Sarah is an amazing director, and everyone involved was so incredibly passionate."
Red Riding Hoods -- which recently released its third installment -- was written by David Quiroz Jr. and includes an original score by Mikel Paris of the band O.A.R. Additional cast members include Sam Doumit, Gina Kim, and Mikayla Bartholomew.
The audio drama is being produced by Violet Hour Media, which launched last year with two shows, In Another Room, the haunted house fiction podcast adapted from E3W Productions' ground-breaking, LA-based immersive show of the same name, and Between the Devil, an adventure horror narrative set on an 18th century merchant ship. Other notable Violet Hour Media productions include the bio-horror thriller The Elmwood Strain and the faux true crime podcast The Gloom, which features Saw actor Tobin Bell.
Each episode of Red Riding Hoods runs approximately 30 minutes and can be found on services such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeart Radio, Stitcher, and others. For more information, visit the show's official website.
