Though the fate of her General Hospital persona is unknown, in real life, Emma Samms (Holly Sutton) just started a brand-new journey with a marriage to UK newsman Simon McCoy.
Everyone is raising a glass to beloved soap actress Emma Samms (Holly Sutton, General Hospital) and her brand-new husband, BBC News star Simon McCoy. The couple tied the knot over the weekend.

News of the pair's engagement broke just last month, when McCoy confirmed to the British tabloid the Daily Mail that he and Samms were planning on getting married. "Yes, it's true," he shared. "We are both so happy, as are our children."
Samms had not spoken publicly about the engagement, but she previously expressed her love for McCoy, who helped see her through her battle with COVID-19 and its subsequent, lingering aftereffects known as "Long COVID." She also celebrated McCoy's birthday on Twitter. And yes, there was cake involved.
Samms has been married three previous times and has two children, Beatrice and Cameron, from her third husband, John Holloway. McCoy has a son named Max from his first marriage. He separated from his second wife in 2019.
Samms got her big break on General Hospital, playing the role of Holly Sutton from 1982 to 1985. She has made numerous returns since leaving the show full-time, with her most recent appearance in September 2020, revealing that Holly was being held captive. It is unclear when -- or if -- General Hospital plans to revisit Holly's storyline.
Outside of daytime, Samms found fame as Fallon Carrington Colby on Dynasty and its spinoff series, The Colbys.
