Congratulations are in order for General Hospital star Sofia Mattsson (Sasha Gilmore), who gave birth to her first baby a month ago and just shared the exciting news on Instagram.
The actress posted a photo of herself holding her newborn son, whom she and her husband, Thomas Payton, welcomed into the world on July 26. "Happiest 4 weeks ever with this little guy!" she captioned the post, adding, "He joined us on 7/26/21 and stole my heart completely!!"
Mattsson announced the news of her pregnancy in June, when she was already very far along. She explained that she kept her real-life pregnancy a secret for so long in order to not spoil storyline for GH viewers, who watched Sasha learn that she was pregnant earlier this summer.
"Now that miss Sasha Gilmore's pregnancy is in full force I can finally share that I'm so grateful to be sharing this pregnancy journey with her!" the actress enthused at the time.
Sofia Mattsson joined GH in 2018. Some of her other credits include Campus Security, StartUp, Drive Share, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men. She and her husband have been married for five years.
